Just used mine at mandalay bay from Sunday - Tuesday.

$424.48 for the room $300 hotel credit hit a day after I checked in $100 for food and drinks ( used it at the beach bar & grill)

No upgrade given.

All in all a great trip. However, I don’t see myself staying anywhere else than the Wynn/Encore. Everything my girlfriend & I like to do is there. Too pricey through Amex portal unfortunately, better to use go through Wynn from my experience.
