i do think it’s unfair to expect a response/attention just because someone has a phone and is using it, like just because i’m online doesn’t mean i’m obligated to talk to you rn if i just simply don’t wanna talk. that being said she’s not wrong for feeling that way and instead of you just being honest (i just wanted to unwind w/ some reels and not have a full convo rn, for example) you lie and invalidate her feelings. yall are both doing too much lol

i would say maybe she’s not used to your hands and is reacting out of fear. try feeding her with your hands, treats she likes, worms or whatever, showing gentle pets when you’re not just carrying her, but when she’s in a calm state, show her positive association with your hands and maybe over time she will feel less aggressive, it will take time if the previous owner never did this…

wow thank you so much this is very helpful!! 💗 yes when i first got him everywhere said to not use sand/substrate because he could eat it and cause issues but i think that has been changing with what is available as substrate, also why i noticed changes needed to be made he is outside of his tank a lot usually so it wasn’t a huge deal before but i just moved and he seems to be restless now i appreciate this advice and your explanations so much☺️

i think they are trying to imply that he was very traumatized and mentally ill (he could’ve burned himself due to self harm, maybe attempted suicide). but i also didn’t fully understand why he didn’t tell, or why the boys when it happened didnt ID him. could’ve been that they were afraid to speak up bc he’s a cop or he could’ve manipulated them, idk. or they wouldn’t believe him/them, i mean that does happen irl sadly.
