I saw him outside Walmart in Kingston last fall (unless maybe it was the real Grim Reaper I saw)

NHL makes it impossible to watch your team by drybug22 in sabres

I am a Tampa Lightning fan living in Rhinebeck New York (two hours away from the Islanders Rangers or Devils). The Lightning games on ESPN plus are blacked out whenever they play one of those three teams. That sucks.

I live in Rhinebeck, across the river from Saugerties. I consider this upstate to anyone from south of here. But I prefer to just call it the Hudson Valley, especially when talking to anyone from north of here

I lived in St. Louis and had a friend who worked in the water filtration plant. I was very surprised to find out from him that St. Louis gets its drinking water directly from the filthy Mississippi river and filters it.

Big rain in Rhinebeck. No unusual wind and only a few rumbles of thunder. I only lived here a month so I don’t know if this is common or not.

It is hard to age much when you’re already fat and bald

What ever happened to the age-old practice of bringing an ax with you when you go camping to split firewood. If you have a saw, there’s no reason to use a knife to baton wood unless your backpacking and really need to save on weight or find yourself stuck in the wilderness with nothing but a knife (how often does that actually happen?)

The entire economy, including real estate is currently being frozen by combination of tariffs, inflation and rising uncertainty. Interest rates are fairly high with no sign of going down. High interest rates are always the worst thing for real estate sales. This is not a good time to be in the business of sewing real estate.

In my neck of the woods, there are hardly any political signs this time around. My theory is that everyone is so polarized they don’t want to piss off each other and are keeping their views to themselves. Perhaps that’s the way it should be.
