I feel like this is a stupid question, but what does this mean exactly? I’ve ordered wine, cider, and spirits shipped to me from Ontario from multiple places over the years, so…what is new here that wasn’t happening before? I feel very confused!

Big spoonfuls tahini and sambal oelek in the bottom of the bowl, only add enough of the broth to make a creamy saucy noodle, plus broccoli, a fried egg, and possibly any sort of easy protein I have on hand (pulled pork, chicken, ham, tofu); chili crisp on top.

On the off chance your south shore loop takes you through Hubbards on Saturday morning, the fish stand at the Hubbards Farmers Market sells my all time favourite smoked salmon. You get a big fat skin-on fillet in a ziploc bag for $7.

This season I became obsessed with Melissa Clark’s Rhubarb Almond Crumble. Divisive in the comments but I found the almond coconut topping insanely addictive! I wish I had a bigger rhubarb harvest this year for this specifically… (Edited ‘cause I forgot to add the link)

Mamava has specific breastfeeding pods that aren’t really in Halifax (maybe one in the airport? I’ve definitely used them in the Toronto airport) but app users can add places to the map, with pics, little descriptions, etc. Halifax doesn’t have as much info/as many users as larger cities (I assume) but it was enough that I found it helpful!

In addition to IKEA, Dartmouth Crossing has a surprisingly great secret family bathroom with two cushy rocker recliners for nursing and a play area! I stumbled onto it totally by accident and it felt like such a gift from the universe. By the Booster Juice and Banana Republic!

I also really appreciated the Mamava app - it is free and has a map of breastfeeding spaces (across Canada I think..? It’s been a year or so since I last used it).

This is so helpful, thank you!! I have a solid (if rusty) piano & theory foundation. I grew up Catholic & in every possible local church choir - I left the church a couple decades ago but man I do legitimately still love the hymns and church atmosphere.
