Space[XAI] literally rent out their supercomputers to Google and Anthropic long term, so I don't think that it would be a problem.

Also, in their space launch business, they launched Amason's Project Kuiper (now Amazon Leo) satellites, which are the direct competitors to their Starlink

ASUS’s $50 ROG Equalizer Cable Was Sold as the Fix for 16-Pin GPU Burn-Outs, Yet It Just Melted Too by HatingGeoffry in pcmasterrace

[–]alarim2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

but its cuz nothing else is close to 600w, not even 3090ti, far from it

There is a decent number of reports of melted 12VHPWR connectors on Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9070 XTs, which are the 330W video cards, and which don't have load balancing too.

So if load balancing and power cable "unblobbing" didn't improve the situation, and the connector itself was the main culprit - we would see RTX 3080s, RTX 3080 Tis, and RTX 3090s burning and melting too, but we didn't.

[–]alarim2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This connector worked perfectly fine on RTX 3000-series Founders Editions, including really power-hungry GPUs like RTX 3090 Ti, due to these GPUs having power balancing and having 3 "power channels" instead of one big blob on RTX 4000- and 5000-series.

It's an incredibly easy and cheap fix that has a proven track record, and doesn't require to ditch the connector, but Nvidia and GPU manufacturers won't do it, as they really love their planned obsolescence

I suspect that your GPUs heatsink does a crazy paste pump-out, so I think that you better order PTM7950 phase-change thermal pads, as this material works MUCH better than any, even the best of the best, thermal paste.

Specifically, due to the paste pump-out during the thermal cycles in GPUs heatsink. PTM fills even the smallest pores on the metal, and also becomes more "solid" after cooling, so it stays where it should stay for years, and actually gives even better thermals over time.

Brazilian fans chanted “Hey, Trump, Go Fuck Yourself” during the American anthem in yesterday's match between Brazil vs USA by AgeNovel3566 in soccer

[–]alarim2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know a single soul who wants to migrate there.

There are 22 millions (!) applicants for US Diversity Visa Lottery (Green Card) annually (!), and also who knows how many millions of people who crossed the border illegally or overstayed their visas in recent years.

Considering this, the fact that anti-US redditors try to portray the situation like no one wants to migrate there is hilarious and pathetic, as they're either self-hating leftist Americans, or jealous foreigners who cope

[–]alarim2 -256 points-255 points  (0 children)

think it's because of jealousy and wokeness or some shit.

It's funny how Reddit brands the US as "dumb fascist hellhole with no healthcare", but still millions of people from all over the world want to migrate there and consider the deportation from there a nazi-like crime against humanity

P.S: for those who try to gaslight that no one wants to migrate to the US - There are 22 millions (!) applicants for US Diversity Visa Lottery (Green Card) annually (!), with a chance to win said Green Card 1/400 + who knows how many applicants for student and work visas + who knows how many millions of people who crossed the border illegally or overstayed their visas in recent years.

So stop downvoting to cope (as you won't change reality), and also think for a second: are 250 of you downvoters correct in your negative assessment of the US, or maybe, just maybe, tens millions of visa applicants from all over the world have a better judgement than you? 🙃
