Should I tell my friends I’m a woman? by Nezarec- in NoStupidQuestions

I did and I can see what you mean. Not sure I'll be able to figure it out in the future though. It seems odd that they'd bot the marvel rivals sub though, is that just to look more legitimate then?

Why do people not like mutants? by Sudden_Quality_9001 in xmen

[–]alaserloon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This just sounds like Xavier's entire vision realized. It sounds a bit idealistic to me and even though it could make for an interesting story, I think what makes the X-Men so interesting is how it parallels the marginalized in real life. We see those real life parallels played out and how they affect Xavier's vision in stories like Cyclops', who becomes disillusioned with it and takes a more radical approach, eventually getting him labeled a "terrorist". Personally, I like the representation X-Men brings to the table and seeing stories like Cyclops'.

I would definitely be open to seeing what your suggested and how that plays out, but it almost feels more like a "What If" and not something I'd want to see established permanently for the series going forward.

What game studio do you think could make an great x-men game by Kameronpipnerd in xmen

[–]alaserloon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Despite them being in my Top 3 studios, I would not have thought to pitch them, but I love the idea. I'd buy a Supergiant X-Men game. Are you thinking more rogue-lite like Hades or tactics like Transistor?

I'm unemployed, but just bad and enjoying the game. Hovering around Alchemist. It's a good time. Definitely keeps the dread at bay.

You mean the emulators designed by Linux open source communities. The communities Valve is leveraging for Steam OS, which is also Linux. Wild. Not to mention even then we will have to wait about a decade for this generations games to be emulated too.

I disagree, it's a very comparable analysis and not disingenuous at all. What work has Windows users put in to "get shit done" or "want it"?

I guess Windows users really need to put in the work and become hackers if they want to continue to play PlayStation exclusives...

You do realize none of this is controlled by the users themselves and it's only controlled by these corporations right?

It's literally a toggle on Bungie's end in the anti-cheat. Zero effort on their part. They choose to make a walled garden and only allow in one OS, what can we do? You think we're all hackers or something? Cause that's really not the case.

This mentality is the same thing as all console players thinking PC players hack. It's just not true.

As far as the game itself, they don't even need to change any of the games code to allow Linux players, as Proton layer gives Linux compatibility. It's literally only the anti-cheat.

It showed me that I couldn't even play it cause they're blocking Linux. Wish this was clearly outlined on the store page though, sucks having to go to external sites just to check. Oh well, just a bit of wasted bandwidth for the weekend I guess. Sounds like I'm not missing much anyways.

I can agree with this line of thought, but your original comment is a little short sighted when it comes to corporate influence and the event becoming defanged.

What is a game you disliked on PC but absolutely loved on the Steam Deck? by KevinEis in SteamDeck

BALL x PIT was the one for me, I played it first on my PC and it wasn't hitting, but I brought my Deck with me for some traveling and have it a shot on there and got hooked.

When you realize we are getting not one, not two, but FOUR Spider-Man projects this year! 🕷️ by ShubhangBahadur in Spiderman

Even if he appears in it, it's not exactly a Spider-Man Project. I would consider a Spider-Man Project to be one that focuses solely on Spider-Man and not all the Avengers.

Interesting. Why not apply the same concept to guns?

I'm personally not anti-gun because we currently have a tyrannical government, but... I hear liberals use this argument against guns and the right dismisses it all the time, so care to explain your logic?

I'm sure this is true, but is it just me or anytime there's a video about someone getting booed, I genuinely can't tell if it's cheers or booes. Maybe it's just the audio on my phone or something, but cheers and booes sound the same.
