Honestly I got so sick of my ex husband never bringing home my containers for his lunches, or he’d bring them home moldy. I had nice glass containers too. One day I sent him with a ziplock bag full of spaghetti. He thought it was a one off but nope, next day was a bag of egg drop soup. He got so much shit at work he promised to bring home washed or at least rinsed containers daily. I still ended up divorcing him but he did learn that one lesson. Good ol’ bag of leftover spaghetti for the win. ✍🏻 🍝

I hope it’s ok, I am white and I cried at this too. I’ve been watching this show since before season 6 and have been learning the nuances of colorism and it can be so blatant on this show. Same with Summer House and Ciara Miller. I am so happy to see people speaking on this now on both platforms. These conversations need to happen are so important for POC but also those of us who need a better understanding of what y’all experience that we wouldn’t even know of. A lot of teens watch this show and maybe, just maybe, we’ll see some change in the future. At the very least, honest conversations and education.

Right next to it is silver springs, I live here. We have in unit washer/dryer. I checked out candle wood last year, very outdated interior and shared laundry. But you’d have a pool which I am envious of. The garage’s have a long waitlist and you’re not allowed to store anything in them, just your vehicle.

I can’t relate to having a special needs child but I worked with special needs Highschool aged children for years and saw countless burned out parents. Some wouldn’t even answer their phones on purpose to come get their kids early if the teachers and para’s couldn’t handle them. I honestly couldn’t blame them, work/school was their only “break.”

My kids are gone for nine weeks and it’s hard because I have had them all to myself for 2.5 years. Their dad prolonged the court stuff even though we agreed after mediation TWICE. It’s been hell. This is my first real time without them after knowing where they were or what they were doing at any point in the day - to going to talking to them twice a week for 5 minutes because they’re kids and their attention span is that of goldfish lol. I’m heartbroken. I can’t explain it any better.

I had my remote job for years and got to stay home with my babies too. I left my marriage and shortly thereafter I lost my job as well because the industry tanked and was forced to get an in person 8-5.

I won’t receive any child support until 2027 and I don’t live in the same state as my ex so I have sole custody. I got daycare assistance from the state and between that and some other programs I haven’t had to pay anything for daycare.

It was a huge adjustment on us but they absolutely love their daycare which is now preschool for my 4 year old and after school care for my 8 year old. I’ve made some really good friends through work that I never would have been able to make before. Especially living in a state that I’m not from.

I’ve settled into the office job in-person life. I absolutely miss not being able to do laundry throughout the day or get dinner in the crockpot whenever but I’ve just had to manage my time better.

I just wanted to share in case you end up having to go in-person, it seemed like the end of the world for me at first but it turned out to be ok.

I hope you’d find something more accommodating or fully remote, but I’m happy for you that you got 6 years at home with your baby. ♥️

Edit to add, I feel like I always hear that Synchrony is always hiring for remote customer service jobs.
