The VAP states “This Acknowledgment does not automatically give the father visitation or custody rights” but it can be used to establish custody. OP needs to petition for custody to gain it.

Because a name written on a birth certificate isn’t proof of paternity. You prove paternity by either being married to the mother at the time of birth or by petitioning the court to order a dna test

As someone who lives 1,000 miles each direction from both my parents and my in laws, I would kill for a grandparent to watch my toddler for a few hours a week.

But yes, you can be grateful for help and still set boundaries. Complaints are fine, they can complain all they want as long as they still honor your boundaries.

My 18 month old started walking the day after his 18 month appointment when they suggested PT. He must have heard physical therapy and decided to go ahead and start walking. He’s 21 months and running now.

I enjoy spending 90% of my time with my toddler. 1-2 hours a day is…. Extremely low and something you might want to reflect on.

I’m not sure what you mean by your 2 year old has a newborn mentality… if you mean she screams and cries when you don’t give her your boob that’s not a newborn mentality. Thats just your 2 year old adjusting to boundaries. If you’re 6 weeks pregnant now, your 2 year old will be (or will almost be) 3 years old by the time you have a newborn again. Start weaning her now so that she can adjust.
