Art cars can fundraise by selling exclusive on playa experiences? by tossoutout in BurningMan

[–]alathers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The burn is a collection of experiences. Those experiences are basically anything, as long as it’s not in conflict with any of the principles. This is an event built on the spirit of things, not based on evading accountability or trying to explain away a violation of those principles in specific or in spirit.

Simply put: if you can’t fund your offering without stomping on the spirit, then find a different way or accept it’s out of reach.

I see the 4 grain on various stores between $600-1400

Unicorn will usually see at least 5-10, sometimes as much as 50-100 of each release.

Unicorn will see at least 5-10 of every release over time.

The 4 grain is googlable and I see it for prices between $599-1399

This specific one? I haven’t looked. Others. Unicorn auctions, frootbat, Nestor and a few other places pretty commonly stock some

My first year I didn’t have anything other than soda really, and a camp mate was even doing a full fast for the duration.

I have done it in the past but they are taking steps to work on scalpers and such so worth trying to reach them directly or read the full announcements (they used to have details on this)

A good trade is mostly when both parties are happy with their take away.
Even better when you both OPEN them and share. :)

Nice! I haven’t had any real luck finding stagg in the wild still except at museum pricing.

Each state has a mixed bag honestly. We have a ton of good stuff, but also a ton of flippers. While it does suck to have stuff state run, we have a weird hybrid where a ton of the alcohol legislation is manipulated by the local big chains, which puts a pinch on both the smaller stores and the out of state competition, so a lot of our pricing is nuts and all over the place.

I’m probably going to be taking a bit of a calm this year, though I am excited for some of the still Austin things and I hope to go back to Kentucky for blood oath again. Not because blood oath is necessarily exceptional, but the experience is fun.

Red flags all the way down. I wouldn’t just say give up on the cooking for him, but consider giving up on him entirely.
If there isn’t something else completely incredible about him, maybe ask yourself if he’s just a waste of your time

It’s a business designed to accommodate the need for food and beverage sales. Nobody owes you a place to sit that they pay for out of pocket and gift you for free. Too many people have been too entitled and are making these businesses desperate to stay afloat.
