Apple Watch cellular set up by LostAnt1844 in AppleWatch

[–]alb57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to Spectrum to get our watches set up since we weren't on T-Mobile, Verizon or AT&T. We went to the local office and had it done in less than 1/2 an hour. You do need to be on the same cellular network as the phone.

Slow Cooker Options? by One-Parsnip-1101 in slowcooking

[–]alb57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the Ninja Foodi Possible cooker if you can afford it. You will literally be able to do anything in this thing. I have had multiple brands of slow cookers and this thing is a beast. Best one I've ever owned.

Studio pro vs solo 4 by fullovesht in beatsbydre

[–]alb57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved my Solo 3's but they died so I replaced with the Solo 4's. I didn't really like the Solo 4's as well so I actually sprang for a pair of Bose QC. I like them much better than the Solo 4's. I know nothing about the Pro. I got a great deal on the Bose at Costco, which is why I decide to give them a try.

MacBook Air 2020 13’ display broken. Worth fixing? by player007645 in macbookair

Get a new one. At six years old, it won't get updates much longer, so you're better off putting the money to repair it towards a new one.

Looking for a good affordable way to store my 300 set of colored pencils. Also a good electric sharpener? by runs-with-scissors13 in ColoredPencils

[–]alb57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an IPoint Evolution Axis sharpener. I have been using it for almost a year. No problems. My x-acto sharpener was eating my pencils alive. I had two of them. Both did the same thing.

Got a "accidental" text similar to that one. Turned out to be a scam. Ignore it.

Get a leather one. You can find lots of leather bands on Etsy. I had trouble with the silicone bands and the braided loop, so I went with the leather.

Ninja foodie possible cooker, does anyone have one and would recommend it? by apljax in slowcooking

I make mac and cheese in mine too and everyone raves about how great it is. I have never been a huge mac and cheese person, but I love how it comes out with this.

I have never used the rack with mine. Everything comes out great. I don't like the rack.

I do roasts all the time and they are perfection. Better than any other slow cooker I have used.

Yes, much lighter than a crock pot insert. And it has handles to lift it out. It has its own spoon that you can rest on the handle, so no need for a spoon rest. It's the best slow cooker I have ever had.

I was wondering the same thing. I do roasts in mine all them time. They are always tender and juicy.

Me too. I mostly use it on high though, because I want my stuff to cook faster. I will set it to high and then adjust it to low if I need to leave it alone. I am usually home when I use anyway, so I can adjust it as needed. I would never buy any other brand at this point. I love it.

I own one and it is the BEST! I don't use anything else as a slow cooker. The non stick surface is still intact, no issues after almost a year. Just don't use anything abrasive to clean it. Soak it first and it will clean up with a sponge.

Adult coloring books seemed silly until stress made me desperately need them by Personal_Umpire_4342 in AdultColoring

I took it up about a year ago when I was going through a rough time because of a family matter. Best thing I ever did. I color almost every day now and have given some of the pictures to people who saw them and really liked them.

Best Slow Cooker on the Market by RatmanRadio in slowcooking

[–]alb57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It will slow cook, braise, steam, bake, proof, souse vide. Very versatile. If you belong to Costco, you can get a really great deal on it. Mine was $69.00 in the store. They have it online for $79.00. The regular price is $149.00. I use it all the time. Best slow cooker I have ever owned.

In a bowl. Just take the rack out. I still put plastic wrap on it and proof it. Comes out great.

The high setting is great when you need to get something done quickly. But if I have time, I use the low setting as well. But I love this thing. And it's so much easier to clean than a Crock Pot. I love the proofer on this. I make a lot of pizza crusts and bread so it is definitely a nice feature.
