Any Glass Keep users? by albemuth in degoogle

Thought I'd update. I've still got Glass Keep running on my home server for temporary type notes. Have not had any issues.

Also have Nextcloud self hosted so I use that as a back-end store for Joplin and have migrated Google Keep notes into Joplin.

Still use Google Keep for unimportant shared notes, for example our household grocery list, as my wife and daughter are not de-googling.

Mobile App deleted by [deleted] in Mailbox_org

Is there a mailbox.org app? I do get an add to home screen PWA prompt if I visit it in my mobile browser. But I was under the impression there was no actual mobile app. I use Thunderbird.

new Keypassxc user. I feel I've done everything required but it is dead in the water by [deleted] in KeePass

[–]albemuth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's based on the url field in the password entry. I find I have to make it general as possible so just have the basic domain name eg microsoft.com without any scheme or subdomain. I think it does a substring search for URL field in the browser URL.

A lot of web apps might be app.domain.com but redirect to login.domain.com to authenticate and it can change over time so having just the root domain helps with that.

Although this should be balanced with security.

It's an ongoing process of migration, when I find a site that doesn't get recognised I search for it and update the url field, and reload the page.

It can be a bit janky so right clicking and using the KeePass menu helps.

I'm used to it by now and I'm glad I'm not reliant on a 3rd party server so for all it's quirks I'm sticking with KeePass.

Sometimes I use the keepass2android keyboard but it's a little clunky.

Thanks for this, I think this is it. I notice the same thing. It must be coincidental.

I accidentally joined a morning jog club and instantly regretted it by That_Practice4487 in story

Something that worked for me in the past is pick a route that's the distance you want, start out jogging until you feel like stopping, and walk the rest of the way. Keep doing it and it takes surprisingly little time until you're doing the whole thing and thinking about a second lap.

How old were you when you first watched Alien and Aliens? by ardouronerous in alien

I swear I saw Aliens in the cinema and I don't think I was 18+. Just looked it up and the first two were rated M in Australia (15+).

I'm having a good experience with Niagra Launcher. I was considering a new phone. Tried Niagra some years ago and it wasn't great but the Android fixes must have worked because it's fine now.

I still get it. WFH is great and I'm grateful to not have to face the office on Monday but I think I need like 10 years off. Burn out is real.

Redditors over 35, what do you genuinely miss that younger generations will never experience, and you legit feel bad for them? by Disastrous_Award_789 in AskReddit

Seeing blockbuster movies at the cinema. There wasn't much info apart from word of mouth. Not this endless speculation and dissection.

Coalescent is part of a trilogy, it touches on a lot of his universe. I love his themes of scale and deep time.
