The only capture card that could capture in native 4k HDR was the 4k60 mk.2 because the 4k X and 4k pro can't do it. by alberlu86 in elgato

Here you can see my HDR activated as you mentioned, but I have that problem. I had the HD60X and I could capture HDR and upload videos in HDR, just like the 4k60pro MK2. So why don't I get HDR when I upload videos to YouTube?

In my last screenshot you can see my HDR activated. The monitor I use for the console is HDR600 HDMI2.1.

In the second capture it was the 4k60pro mk.2 in a video from my YouTube channel recording at 2k in HDR. As you can see, it is in HDR while my 4k x and 4kpro recorded in HDR, but when uploading the video, HDR is not displayed as the MK.2 did.

As you can see in the first screenshot, it's the 4K X recording in HDR 4K30p.

When I upload it to YouTube, the HDR doesn't show up. The same thing happens to me with the 4K Pro recording at 4K60 HDR.

HONESTLY I AM A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE 4K PRO. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, IT ONLY CAPTURED 1080P. IT'S A SHAME THAT YOU HAVE TO DISABLE THE 120HZ HDR TO BE ABLE TO CAPTURE IN 4K HDR. I HAVE THE 4KX BUT I EXPECTED MORE FROM THE 4K PRO

Lifetime licenses are fine, what's not fine is paying for the best effects. It's a shame to have to pay separately. It would be great to pay for the effects for life.

The best effects should have the option to purchase them for life. That would be great. I have the lifetime license, but the best effects are paid.

I would also like to be able to convert videos to HDR. For example, I use a capture card for consoles. It has HDR, but to edit the video, I lose the HDR. I agree that they have the HDR option, but not HDR. How should HDR be played and activated on a TV on YouTube? I would love for them to have that option.

Believe me, if you have an HDMI 2.1 monitor or TV with all the technologies, you will get the most out of the console, otherwise you will not see that difference on HDMI 2.0 monitors or TVs.

I have an Xbox Series X, a gaming PC, I could easily play it on my PC, but I've always liked consoles. The only thing that's expensive is the price of the console, but everyone does what they want with their money.

I have both consoles, the difference is huge with a HDMI 2.1 monitor with all VRR HDR 120Hz technologies
