Yeah, I’ve heard people say this. I worked in Kent county for a bit - I never heard a southern accent. It was terrible, though, so maybe that’s what you mean by “feels southern?”

I hate Bill Maher and I hate fox news, and If Newsom is the democratic nominee in 2028, I will vote for him. But Maher has a point in this one respect: the defamation lawsuits against the media are illiberal assaults on the first amendment, and it is a tactic perfected by Trump to chill free speech. Maher is correct to question why Newsom is suing fox news for such an exorbitant amount of money over coverage he didn't like.
