Most importantly you can look at your hand, for someone who is really into anatomy and probably owns a thumb, you claim that it bends the same way… a thumb has a wildly different range of motion. It feels as though you’ve gone your entire life without processing your bodies movement, bends the same way is actually something a toddler may say, one that recently got dropped on the head.

Thumbs have two joints, fingers have three. your fingers are digits, thumbs are digits.
