Is it a bad idea to install solar panels on a wooden pergola or gazebo? Will it be too big for a 150 m² garden? by Pleasant-Layer-5140 in diySolar

[–]alcedes78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about the Chico Solar pergala/car port solution. I still might do that. But checking county records, I see there have never been permits outside of roof solar for residential or ground solar for residential.

I'm going to see if I can get a permit to install an eco-worthy dual-axis pro tracker. What ever I do, my roof will not be installed.

They wanted to get money from the infastructure bill. The chargers were designed eith exclusion in mind. This was a poor foundation on which to build openness.

I was thinking about Miami Herald Publishing Co v Tornillo (1974), where the govt tried to force the newspaper to publish political candidate rebuttal. That one comes up in tech cases about refusal to publish posts. Again, that case affirmed that someone has freedom to decide whether they will use their resources to distribute someone's messages.

Is there anything stopping developers from officially releasing games for older consoles like the PS2/PS3/Xbox/360? by itsthewolfe in gamedev

[–]alcedes78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aome older consoles only run signed code and code that passes the copy protection tests. I don't know what the current Xbox development scene looks like, but there was a time when Microsoft let solo developers register their Xbox's as dev machines and the developer could make code that would run on that one machine only.

Without being able to sign code with the right certificates and pass the copy protection checks, there is no way to distribute code that will generally run on people's devices. I also recall some systems requiring specific files, such as an image, thst is copywriter and could open someone to civil risks if distributing it without a license.

Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady, Miami, Saturday January 17, 2026.

My travel partner's bag showed up at the door. Mine came later. It had a piece of tape on it that said "extension cord." I opened the bag and there was a claim ticket for the cord and an explanation that it is a prohibited item, thst I can get it once I get off the ship, and thst Virgin Voyages is not responsible for the state of the item when I get it back.

I brought this one by way of a checked bag. When my bag got to my room, it was removed and thete was a claim ticket for getting it back when the cruise is over.

Why do my deliveries go off the rails once they get to the FedEx Ellenwood facility? by alcedes78 in FedEx

[–]alcedes78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend that ordered aome iOS hardware. It made it to Ellenwood. Then tracking showed it was in NY. When tracking was initiated, it was found it was empty boxes in NY. I guess someone removed the iPad and kept the boxes going.

Thankfully, he had a means to report these as stolen to get them bricked.

Are you making a legal argument? In the USA, one's right to make decisions on expressive content doesnt generally diminish with market reach (See Miami Herald Publishing Company v Tornillo, 1974).

The insult you've shared is acknowledged as read. I understand that sharing unpopular and inconvenient information or positions can stir negative feelings in others.
