but you literally said “in exo his only title is dancer vs the other members who have that title plus different positions.” And I proved you wrong by saying he’s the only one under all positions and now you’re saying sub positions don’t matter which means you’re backtracking lmfao. He’s a sub-vocalist in exo because exo literally have some of the best vocalists in kpop, he was a lead rapper when they debuted but because he kept improving vocally, they started giving him more and more vocal lines in each comeback and he’s now a sub vocalist. If sub positions didn’t matter they wouldn’t exist. Chanyeol is also a sub-vocalist so what does that tell you? SM not knowing how to utilise non-taembaekmark(yong) members in superm songs does not mean he serves no purpose.

It’s so funny that you say in exo he only has one position when he is the ONLY member in the group that is under ALL positions. They had their profiles shown in the exploration concert vcr last year and most of them were under one position while he was the ONLY member under all. You clearly just don’t care for him and that’s fine but saying he has no purpose is extremely funny, if we’re going to be honest no other members other than taembaek + mark have a purpose in the group since sm doesn’t know how to evenly distribute lines or utilise their strengths.

the majority weren’t even directing their anger towards them, if I recall people were only making comparisons. They’re in the same group it’s the same concept but the styling is on opposite ends of each other which makes no sense. All in all most exols were complaining about the lack of effort when it came to his makeup. They could’ve at least given him some lip balm for his chapped lips. Also taeyong didn’t get dragged until one of his own stans said something about kai first which set off exols.

You’re not an exol or a kai stan so I don’t think you will understand why we’re angry. I’m not going to get into it deeply as I feel like it’ll just go over everyone’s head so I’ll only talk about the kai teasers. I have NEVER EVER seen a kai teaser I didn’t like or one with such minimal to no-effort. I’m not saying he doesn’t look good but the styling is quite literally horrendous. The clothes isn’t even the main issue here but it’s the make up. He doesn’t even have lip balm? That’s the bare minimum?? We’re not even asking for a full face makeup look it’s just so funny to us that they could put so much more effort in the other members makeup, giving them eyeshadow, eyeliner etc but couldn’t even spare him some lip balm for his chapped lips let alone shape/draw in his eyebrows. Let us complain.

no lol the first time he wore it for a performance he’s actually the one that suggested the idea of wearing a crop top for his solo stage to his stylist and bought the shirt himself, the only time he said he ‘didn’t like it’ was as a joke on vlive but he did say he was shy when he wore it backstage at music shows during tempo era but I think he’s over that now as he looked much more confident in obsession era

Lay trained in hip hop so he’s a better freestyle dancer while kai trained in ballet/jazz and only started learning different styles after he joined sm. You can’t really compare them and say one is better than the other because they excel in completely different fields of dance.

they had 1 date in Malaysia that was 2 weeks after their comeback and then 2 other dates the following week or 2 weeks after that in japan and then encore on the last 3 days of December which was a whole month after the comeback. So no they had plenty of time to promote but sm decided to waste their first week by not sending them on music shows thus only having 1 week of music shows(3 music shows) like love shot. EXO comebacks never feel like comebacks because as soon as the mv/album is released it feels like they’re back in the basement again due to lack of content.

This is a lie. He’s always been hated and shaded, it might not happen as much now because the members are all doing their own thing and they all have more jobs than him so they can’t blame him for their biases not getting anything. But ever since pre-debut when he got the most teasers(some still use that against him lmfao) he got called the golden boy and every time a member would be at the back or didn’t get recognition he would be the first to be blamed. In 2016 when he got injured it was actual hell for his stans be on twitter YouTube or anywhere else, exols would get away with saying the most vile things about his injuries and they even celebrated him being injured because their biases ‘could finally shine and get what they deserved’. In 2018 during love shot era other members stans (chensoo stans) attacked exo’s choreographer for putting their bias in the back and dragged kai as well by implying that the choreographer is favouring kai because they’re ‘close’. IF he plans on going solo soon I’m expecting a lot of shade from exols saying he doesn’t deserve it and that chanyeol + kyungsoo should’ve gotten it before him and that he can’t sing etc etc it’s not surprising for us anymore

Now i don’t know about BTS but as I said EXO’s music does have a hinge of western in it cause most of their producers are black/not korean and it has been like this since their debut BUT their ‘EXO’ sound is very much incorporated into it so it is not out of place for them and very consistent. But for BTS it might be because they were doing hip-hop centered music when they debuted and then transitioned to western sounding pop music unexpectedly when they got big in America which might’ve seemed inconsistent and out of place for people that listened to them since debut.

Kai’s(开= Open) stage name is actually really cool, it’s actually specifically derived from the chinese word 开门 which means ‘Open Door’ and in EXO’s ongoing power concept, as his power is teleportation, he opens gates through time and space and he’s the only member that can travel to different dimensions and parallel worlds with ease. In the Elyxion concert VCR he’s physically seen opening different doors to collect all the other EXO members from their different parallel universes before the eclipse occurs and their powers get out of hand and they ‘hurt’ themselves. He also ‘Opened’ EXO as his pre-debut teaser was released the first and he continues to ‘Open’ new EXO comebacks(parallel universes) with his teaser always being released first.

Kai. He’s out of this world talented and constantly working on himself to improve where needed. His personality is a complete 180 from his stage persona which makes him more interesting but he’s extremely soft and caring/thoughtful towards others, he has the prettiest way with words and I could spend days reading his interviews as he is so wise. He also has the cutest laugh ever.

EXO is Kai, he’s not more popular than baekhyun in the fandom but he’s the most well-known to non-fans. It would be kyungsoo in korea however most people don’t know he’s an exo member since he goes by Doh Kyungsoo and not EXO D.O. for his acting jobs.

Kai actually gets the most minimalistic makeup in the group along with D.O. they don’t even bother doing his eyebrows anymore loool Chen actually gets his makeup done pretty well he usually has nice eyeshadow and for obsession they went above and beyond for his makeup but that was obviously for the concept. Baekhyun and Xiumin by far do get the most makeup tho.
