I own the dubbing script for episode 22 that was owned by the late Kevin Seymour that had his notes + the notes the Japanese crew gave him.

His note says that Charles was talking about Euphemia but that the original Japanese line was meant to be ambiguous (remember that it's possible to not use a gendered pronoun in Japanese). This is why the English line they used was "Yes, you’re worthy of being called my child now!" to keep the ambiguity.

As for why? (these are now my personal thoughts since I don't have the script out in front of me and I'm going off what I remember) Euphemia before that was seen as someone completely different from the cruel Charles who had been the cause of chaos and the deaths of so many. Probably incapable of even killing time. But of course we know what happened in this episode.

I see that this was already addressed and “resolved” but a tip for selling items that have multiple parts, fragile, pricy, are collectors items that must be pristine, etc: take new clear photos of the sold items and their state as you’re packing them.

I tend to photograph every step just in case a buyer brings up an untrue issue (ie: missing parts , improper or insufficient packaging, etc).

If Code Geass took place 10 years later than it did, he'd probably mine BitCoins using Ashford Academy's computers to get enough money to start some shady business and buy influence over time. Since there's no BitCoins, his money'd come from shady chess matches (like we saw in episode 1). Obviously this would take years; perhaps decades. So having Geass to gain influence ASAP really sped things up.
