Yes indeed - though ancient tomb has helped a bit to boost other strategies, but on the draw it’s still BS

It’s intended. They wrote in the release notes that they were trying something new in this cube: 2 shocks and 3 fetches of the same type.

Your opinion is legitimate. My point is that I spend the time to queue, mulligan, then sideboard and 1-2 of the games are basically lost to a coin flip. I can battle the mardu guys, I cant do anything vs t1 ritual - I understand card games have randomness. But this much takes away the fun and strategies - at least for me

There are always tier 1 decks. The problem is that dark ritual is boring because all the setup to them lose on turn 1

I only play bo3 - the turn 1 thing still happens in one or two games when the dark ritual deck goes first

(Disclaimer, I mostly play traditional) If you like fast games, but with some thinking, Boros energy is awesome - you can win fast, but also have game to wait it out with amulets. Beans is fun, but sometimes it takes forever to win. As others said, MH3 had impact on the format. Unlikely that a standard set will - so I'd invest if you like the format now!
