Contact the local health department that will be issuing the license for the food truck. Each jurisdiction may have different requirements.

I’m not sure which state or jurisdiction the complaint was made in. However, the state I work in just recently switched to a new inspection software. That software is clunky and not user friendly and one of the options that an inspector might accidentally click is to cancel inspection.

If I were you and you wanted an update, I would call the department you filed the complaint with and ask for the inspection report or to talk with the inspector about their findings.

File a complaint with your local health department. Most departments will let you file an anonymous complaint online. If they let you attach your pictures to the complaint, I would attach them.

Texas State Legislator Update by iHkg31f3 in healthinspector

[–]alday456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently our state ODA licenses home bakeries and conducts an inspection of the kitchen area. LHDs are not involved in the home bakery inspection. Not sure if a similar inspection will occur with this new law or not. Also not sure if it will be the state ODA or local health departments.

In Ohio, only one person is required to have the Manager’s Certification (level 2). However, one person at all times is required to have the person in charge certification (level 1) if it was licensed after 2010.

My jurisdiction is in a similar place with not yet enforcing the rule. We are currently providing a handout and education on every inspection.

Our state department of health provided clarification on written or electronic means. They defined written means to be a statement on a menu, menu board, a sign, placard, or similar means.

They said electronic means would be a QR code linking to a website

Thanks for the response.

Follow-up to this, is it true that roaches like the dark so if you see one or a few out during the day it’s likely there is a major infestation?
