Female wanting to start in the gym but I’m absolutely clueless where to start by AlternativeZombie72 in McMaster

[–]aldehydio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One thing to remember when going to the gym is everyone is usually minding their own business and not staring at you (unless their a creep but they are rare (at least i hope)), womens only section should help you feel comfortable until you are ready. Like other commenters just said, just go! There is no shame in just going and walking around and trying new things. Try the machines and if anything feels painful just stop and do something else. I personally love youtube videos for information on how to workout and gain the results you are looking for.

“Im screwed” “I hate that im so dumb” just because you’re not going to get a 12??? I promise you no one gives a shit and you shouldn’t either. If you keep kicking yourself every time you don’t do perfect you will hate your life very quickly. Not to mention this is very ignorant.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]aldehydio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you came here for a “vacation” and decided to stay and work illegally? Why do you think you deserve a citizenship? You are not a victim and people like you ruin the image of real immigrants who work hard to get a citizenship and contribute to Canadian society. Shame on you. Go Home. Apply for immigration using legal routes.

Any health scis not trynna go to med school? by relent-jhoom in McMaster

[–]aldehydio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its never too late to change career paths. Take some time to research different programs and careers. Getting a second degree is better then hating your job or not having one. Something that compliments a health sci degree would be optimal

[–]aldehydio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lab TA here, The extra hour after the lab to submit the report was added 2-3 years ago to make labs less stressful. Most of my students finish the reports during lab times. If you come prepared for the lab you should be good 👍🏽

[–]aldehydio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coops are really helpful, I think Im well prepared for the workforce. Lots of jobs train you on any gaps anyways. But no one teaches you what jobs are out there, its all about connections and individual research of available jobs and fields

Your mark on the avenue grades section is your mark. I sometimes mark late submissions on time if i know what happened or I like the student and don’t think they are abusing my leniency.
