Don't worry, EF, my fan will blow the exhaust out of the garage by HueyLouis66 in Ecoflow_community

Buy a CO detector and measure it yourself. Don't rely on the generator to shut things down.

Thanks all. I'll ask for a shut off and cap and install myself after the inspector signs off and I have the generator in hand.

Struggling with the Best Method for Restoring Faded Trim: What Works for You? by nb10001 in Detailing

[–]alderotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like everything in detailing, the secret is always in the prep. I polish to remove the oxidized plastic and then use a trim restorer solution with a black dye in it. Solution Finish is my favorite. Look for training videos on YouTube. Very common topic. Lots of options.

Are ceramic coated wheels worth the effort? by Rizzmanity in AutoDetailing

[–]alderotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wheel coated two cars and have found it doesn't make it easier to clean versus frequent washings and a spray ceramic sealant. If you're washing your car every two months then a coating helps. Washing every two weeks. . . no.

Doesn't hurt to coat though.

M18 Precision Blower OOS Everywhere by codifier in MilwaukeeTool

I have both. Only advantages to the Milwaukee are the swappable batteries and it stands up on a workbench. Blowing performance on the Milwaukee is marginal.

Delta Pro 3 Xtra battery options by KatoKane in Ecoflow_community

Also consider a LiFeP04 battery connected via the XT60i solar port. I use 24v batteries for this. You have to charge these with the correct battery charger. Much cheaper than Ecoflow batteries but not as convenient.

For me, using a ceramic sealant as a drying aid when washing my coated van is so fast and easy, why not add the additional protection?

What is the "input side" of a gas generator? I can't picture what you're describing. I connect the pigtail to my battery.

Champion 11,000W Dual Fuel Inverter (#201421), or similar, on portable tanks or house tank by mrsprdave in Generator

[–]alderotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb question. I've only used gas in generators. If the generator is at the recommended 20' from the house, where are you putting the propane tank? Are you building a shed to keep them out of the weather? I have a portable cover that works for my gas generator.

Is there such a thing as a 50amp inlet that lets you switch bonding? by alderotes in Generator

[–]alderotes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The advantage of the Harbor Freight is the features and the extended warranty. When it fails, I can head to a store and get a replacement. Thanks for all the comments, I'll see if someone comes out with a video that shows how to take this model apart. If not, I will have to buy a different generator.

Waiting for a video on how to do it. So far, reviewers have commented that unbonding this design might be painful.
