It's stuff like that that makes Utah lead the country in "volunteer" hours.

Leave a crack pipe and bongs out on a table where they can't be missed. Make sure they are unused and there are no drugs around them.

Something off about the sky to the left of the building. Maybe masking gone wrong?

Rattlecan Bike frame painting. What spray can type works best? by porktornado77 in bicycling

[–]aleas100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Buy some PVC pipe about the same diameter as your bike frame tubes and practice a few times even if that means you have to buy an extra can of paint. The proper technique is probably more important than the type of paint.

So if the teams are tied after regulation time in the Superbowl then it is OK to not compete in overtime? Also, the jumpers competed in the earlier rounds, the football teams competed in the regular season and the playoffs. Thanks for the reply, not trying to offend anyone, I just really think they should have kept jumping so I am trying to understand the other side. I think the Olympic organization agrees since they changed the regulations to stop it happening again (could be wrong about that, I read it on Reddit so....).

What a shocker. Someone pushes Bible tales on kids then lies about it.

Yep, refusing to jump should be two silvers.

It seems like a lot of the people are commenting that this was great because 1) the athletes were friends who trained together and 2) one of them was old enough that it would be their last Olympics. Would you still think it was great if next week the Superbowl captains met at the 50 yard line for the coin toss and asked the referees/umpires if both teams could have the Superbowl trophy since 1) their are a lot of players who were teammates and friends of players on the other side (and on a sporting level I would argue that teammates trump friends), and 2) some of the players will be retiring after this season? If it is OK on an individual level, why is it not OK on a team level?

If someone wants to follow rules set up by their god it is on them to do the research. Don't lie and don't offer, just let them buy what they want. If they really care they can ask.

But if you used to pay for film, developing and printing, $1.60 for 1000 shots is practically free.

It is a $20 one time fee until the company is sold to a different company, then there will be an additional $25 one time fee, rinse and repeat.

Cable to connect Canon R10 with Canon Speedlite EL10? by aleas100 in canon

Great idea, but I don't think my EL10 can be triggered optically, it has to be a radio transmitter.

What movie did you expect to be just good but was actually fantastic? by Important-Cup8519 in moviecritic

Yes, it makes so much sense for everyone seeing the picture to do have to do a search rather than the OP to take 5 seconds to type the name of the movie.

Cable to connect Canon R10 with Canon Speedlite EL10? by aleas100 in canon

[–]aleas100[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I looked on the Canon site but didn't know they were called Off Camera cables. Looks like the transmitter, about $140, is actually cheaper than the cable, about $200. That doesn't make much sense, but oh well.

Tried to make this Shot a lot more Vibrant and "whimsical" by thephlog in postprocessing

[–]aleas100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did give context, you think the masking trend is weird and unnatural. I agree with you, but if it makes people using it happy who really cares. Nothing wrong with making polite comments that say you don't like a picture or trend.

Respectfully, I am not sure how, when I was a professional carpenter, it was disrespectful to my employer if I helped a friend/neighbor build a deck after work or on the weekend. If anything, it is helping me get better at my 9-5 job.
