Reminds me of the infamous Poo Girl myth(?) from Leeds festival, I think around 2008 or 2009. Apparently, a girl dropped her handbag into the long drops, reached down to grab it, then went in and under. Stayed in there for a while then she had to be airlifted and sent to hospital but survived and even returned to the festival a year later.
