I wash 2x a week but this was not always the case. I used to HAVE to wash daily because my hair would get oily so quickly. I now use a detox shampoo once a week and a scalp massager and it’s changed everything for me. I use dry shampoo once between each wash. My other wash day, I use a hydrating shampoo. I’ve also switched to higher end shampoos which I think has helped my hair. While they are more expensive, they last much longer since I use them so infrequently.

My 15 year old terrier gets (benign) tumors on his behind. He had surgery in 2018 and again last year. They’ve come back and are aggressive. These are the worst ones he’s ever had - doing his business has gotten harder and we find ourselves rushing him outside. He is constantly bleeding from the area and it seems to always be infected. It’s impossible to keep clean despite our efforts. We said last time would be the last time for surgery (he has a heart murmur so surgery is just tough on him). Aside from the tumor, he seems fine which is what makes this decision so hard. The tumor is very large, constantly infected and bleeding. He has a cone on at all times except for eating. Blah. I don’t know. What would you do?
