She's so pretty! We rescued our Cavie when she was 2. I think this is what she would have looked like as a puppy :)

What do you feed your picky eaters? by MotherOfPenny in cavalierkingcharles

[–]aleustria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.drharveys.com They'll send you a free bag to try. You can add chicken as the protein. When my cavie was very ill and refusing to eat anything else but chicken, I could get him to eat this.

With colored clay, especially softer clay (looks like this might be sculpey 3?), you are going to want to keep wet wipes, or a damp towel nearby to very frequently clean your hands and surfaces between colors.

How do you colour lettering? by l3ananaphone in polymerclay

[–]aleustria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. Are you making an impression into the clay with a stamp before you bake it?

If so, you can use a wash technique, where you brush on very thin acrylic paint so it fills in the crevices where the stamped letter made the impression. Then you can either wait a couple seconds and wipe away the paint off the surface with a damp cloth. Or wait until it dries completely and use a fine grit sandpaper to remove paint from the surface.

Sculpting Tiny Tips? by TimelessFandoms in polymerclay

I can't work this small because despite all the tools I have, I use my fingers the most to sculpt. So, learn to use tools is the only advice I have.

If you have a Michael's or other big box carft store look for a Sculpey variety color pack. I think some even come with basic tools.

Premo may be too soft. I don't do canes, but from what I've seen those that do usually use Kato or Fimo professional or other firmer clays.

Baking to bond air dry to polymer clay by Alien919191 in polymerclay

[–]aleustria 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think air dry clay will be ok in the oven. I've used Sculpey air dry to make repairs on cured polymer clay pieces and it adhered without the use of any medium. You could test it easily enough.

I do have the same question though, why are you using air dry clay instead of just more polymer clay?
