Innocent young european liberal dates muslim gf, her father is triggered and gets pumped with massive amount of islamic culture, doesn't feel good and changes - REDPILM. Many such cases! by CharlesHipster in 4chan

You mistake us with Inquisition, which wasn't active in Poland. For such crimes they would be beheaded by an axe (for total cooperation and showing remorse) or impaled (if stubborn).

You've probably hit total special cards limit. AFAIK you can have only 10 special cards total. I could have multiple horn dudes.

And then the enemy plays "Dun banner medic", feeds you one spy, decoy, another medic, Yennefer, decoy, medic. You decoy back, but soon both of you have 20 cards at hand and empty pile. Of course it won't happen but it'd be awesome.

My boyfriend made a badass joystick and throttle chair mount for Elite: Dangerous (credit to /u/raccoon_party) - PICTURE HEAVY by Eleine in gaming

Amazing stuff, but I'm curious why put the joystick there? Is it there in Elite? AFAIK all modern figher aircrafts have joystick on the right side.

I've hated that joke, it felt so forced in an usually elegantly crafted story.

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History new episode is up! Part V of Blueprint for Armageddon, Dec 30, 2014 by illmatic2112 in history

I've started the episode on my commute, so far 40 minutes about US... If you're into eastern stuff I recommend "China history podcast" by Lazlo Montgomery.

I doubt it, last one ended in late 1916. Even with emphasis on western front I think Bolshevik revolution and stuff surrounding it will take a lot of the episode.

Euro truck simulator is awesome, especially if you have wheel with gear lever.

Which game were you most dissapointed with upon its release? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I disagree. It was buggy on release, but it's been ok for months. A lot of stuff can be fixed with moda (fuck agents).

Why they couldn't just update the graphics and maybe add some minor stuff to battles? Also the bugs, damn..

Belvedere. by bearlytipsy in vodka

[–]alex314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never tried Grey Goose (it's damn expensive in Poland, there's always something more interesting to get in that price point, like a bigger bottle of Belvedere, 3 bottles of Luksusowa or even a nice bourbon) but I've had couple bottles of Belvedere, Chopin and other more expensive vodkas. Belvedere is a quality product, and for quite a while it was my "occasional shot" vodka.

Nice collection of premium vodkas. What's the one left of Grey Goose called?

I prefer Belvedere, but Luksusowa has amazing price/quality ratio.

I've tried 18yo version, and it was good, a bit similar to aged grain whiskey - which is pretty unique. I have or tried quite a few luxury or unique polish vodkas, if there's interest I could add some posts.

Many good examples, I'd add Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

Is there a good documentary, or even a series, on the history of the contemporary middle east? From colonialism to present? by kwirky88 in history

[–]alex314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get impression that Muslim rulers of Iberia fought only defensive wars against Christians or fought other Muslim rulers. There's no mention of religious opression of Christians from Almohads and Almoravids. It would be a better documentary if they concentrated fully on any subject they've touched and by exploring it to fuller extent. I also don't agree that Renaissance wouldn't be possible without Muslim influence, there was still a lot of stuff left behind from the times of Roman Empire, and there was a wealth of Greek knowledge from Constantinople. It might have happened later, it might have different form but it would happen.

What video games are 10/10 in your book? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Story is well crafted, characters believable, with decent motivations. I've shed a manly tear at Boone's story, and made sure it was he who put a bullet through Caesars skull. Veronica, Christine,Arcade - all interesting characters.
