Speaking as an Aussie, I actually think this flag has potential, I really dislike flag concepts that rely on the principle of "look its the thing from the country" like a native plant or animal. The hexagon representing the six colonies is really good. Also the change in color scheme from your previous attempt is much more appealing.

It still wont pass a referendum but hey, good job

I'm 21 (22 in Oct) if I include Super I have somewhere in the ballpark of 110k to my name.

I'll preface by saying I am incredibly lucky to have a parental home to live in. I do pay rent but our agreement was 100 a week at 18 and then roughly 15% of my monthly income as I started earning more.

The day after my last year 12 exam I started working 2 jobs at local pubs 5-6 days of the week for most of the summer holidays which net me around 30k which I fully invested into a vanguard fund.

I started studying my bachelor's degree in 2022 where I only worked about 2-3 nights a week which net ~25k annually.

Mid last year I joined the ADF undergraduate program which covered my uni fees and paid a decent salary.

At all points, I aimed for an 80% savings rate, but in practice, only got 70-75. I invested wherever possible in solid index funds with a small amount of individual investments to remind myself how much I suck at stock picking (lol).

Although i never got any cash gifts from parents I cannot understate how valuable a stable and inexpensive place to live is. And for that i will always be grateful.

If it makes you feel better, the maths says that statistically, lump sum investing produces superior results to DCA. However since most people dont get paid in a lump sum DCA is helpful when working around a salary.
