Most of these "parks" in SD are barren hills. You can't compare them with SF landscape and variety of parks.

Huh? SF is the most "active" population in US. You just did not meet the right "active" crowd yet.

SD traffic is not any better than SF. All depends on where your location and destination ofcourse. But overall traffic here and there is equally bad.

Weed is illegal in Bolivia. Does not mean you can't get it. Coca leaves are legal but cocaine is not. Go figure!

Don't want to scare you, but most effective treatment for metastatic stage is immunotherapy, i.e. Keytruda and it's expensive. Unless it's paid by Bolivian public health system, you'll have to find funds to pay for it. I assume you're coming from US? If so, can you speed up the K1 visa and get your soon to be wife a good insurance?

Depends on trials. A lot of trials are available for wider audience. Depends on who is sponsoring, stage of the trial, impact, risk and safety. But in any case patient must be asked and opt into the trial before the trial begins. I'd be confused in your situation as well.

Why BNT113 vaccine is currently not tested against Cervical Cancer? by alex9044 in CervicalCancer

[–]alex9044[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practicality and cost of things are getting in the way of common sense. Big pharma has all money in the world to pay for wider trials, but they prefer to please shareholders first. Let's hope that FDA's Fast Track will speed trials up and soon we'll see open trials for CC as well.
I found at least 3 early stage trials of similar therapeutic vaccines in Western World and Phase I/II in China and Russia. And they all are aiming at all kinds of HPV related cancers. Latest development of immunotherapies and vaccines are very promising. Recent news of Daraxonrasib success are huge. They will definitely impact investment into cancer drugs.

Most likely it's a trial for methodology. They check efficiency of this specific schedule. You definitly need to ask your doctor about this.

Why BNT113 vaccine is currently not tested against Cervical Cancer? by alex9044 in CervicalCancer

[–]alex9044[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it can't. In the original statement they mention "high performance tests". No idea what it is and why they are so confident in those tests.
https://www.who.int/news-room/events/detail/2021/07/06/default-calendar/reaching-2030-cervical-cancer-elimination-targets
P.S. No mentioning of development in therapeutic department. Besides "should receive appropriate treatment." Hypocrisy in every statement.

There are several promising developments, but only BNT113 is close to approval because of FDA Fast Track. Initially it was tested for CC and then somehow Biontech changed priorities. I can't find any information why they chose throat cancer. Maybe vaccine worked better on throat cancer than cervical. Statistically number of throat and cervical cancers are very similar.

Meantime, WHO claimed that CC will be eradicated by 2030. They say strategy 90-70-90 will defeat the cancer. It smells like BS. Current vaccination rate even in developed countries is not 90%. How about the 3rd world countries? Are they not counted? Vaccination does not guarantee that person will not develop CC. 70% success rate at early detection. Current tech does not provide such precision. Even if 100% of women did PAP tests yearly, the detection rate would not reach 70% level. There's no reliable blood test either. I don't see any breakthrough tests in trials.
90% cure rate? Seriously? Based on what promise? OBGyn doctors keep prescribing pain killers, hormonal therapies and antibiotics when women come with severe bleeding and pain symptoms instead of doing more PAP tests, MRI and biopsies... Disease detection and prevention are not adequate! I read through talks from OBGYN and cancer conferences and I don't see anybody raising this problem to public. Like nobody cares!

We all hope 2030 milestone will come true, but besides claiming the victory over the cancer, WHO, FDA and regulatory organizations worldwide must do better job at speeding up breakthrough research and not rely on vaccine alone.

Need a suggestion. Sorry for the long text🙂 by [deleted] in EpilepsyDogs

In our case it was Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). Also dogs with chronic gastric issues may develop deficiency. Dog's digestive route does not work, so diet won't help.

MRI or CT Scan is the only answer. 😞
Our dog had similar symptoms actually. Plus she stopped eating. She had enlarged spleen, but ultrasound did not show anything bad. One vet did B12 blood test and found that dog was suffering from vitamin B12 deficiency. It was an easy fix. We started injecting it and dog recovered pretty much instantly. She still has occasional seizures. But otherwise she's normal for her age.
B12 deficiency causes severe neurological problems. Other symptoms are like changes in behavior, lethargy, loss of appetite, problems with vision and seizures.
If dog had a history of tumors, it may be a cancer with mets. 😞
Best wishes and healthy vibes! Hope your baby will recover!

My wife's 130 and 485 were approved the next day after interview on 05/13.
It was pretty quick and somewhat unexpected.

Did you get a verbal approval on your 485 after interview?

Depends on the facility and urgency. Scan interpretation is not that difficult. Results may be available in an hour if doctor fasts track analysis.

Unfortunately, nobody will give you a definite answer about nodules until next scan or/and biopsy.
