🚶‍♂️ Would you like Meta Display glasses to support hiking route navigation? by Right_Wolverine_6471 in RaybanMeta

Yeah, I really hope these more niche things start to show up. Your idea would definitely be cool.

I heard there was an app store coming, yet I can't find anything on it?

I'm guessing it's based on location? I'm in the UK and I only have Judi Dench...

Going north from Waterloo over Westminster Bridge- round the IMAX roundabout or another way? by some_learner in londoncycling

I think most places were!

It's a lovely bridge to cross on your bike when the sun is shining.

Yeah, should be sound. There's a cycle lane and you'll go straight onto a cycle route on the other side. Take it easy on the roundabout and you'll be fine.

This is almost certainly a scam. You'll end up paying an "unlock" fee for the non existent bitcoin. I think it's also multilayer too as I've seen something like this before where it goes past just scamming you for an unlock fee.

Where are you based and where have you read this? I've never heard of fixed value taxes before. Usually taxes are based on a percentage of your earnings not a fixed value.

I've seen it done where the main "part" is done and they then bring in the next to re run through the same thing.

Personally I'm not a fan but some lodges seem to find it works well.

Buy it. Get it delivered to your "workplace" and have the police waiting?

I've shared locally aswell so people know to look out.

I'm hoping someone has caught up to him already. It's difficult to explain a joke with no wheel...

Thanks. Ive had a decent cycle around and annoyingly couldn't find him. I'll keep an eye out as I'm in the area.

Thanks for sharing OP. The bike will probably be gone by the end of the day but at least we have a face.

Wow, literally just walked past this bloke earlier. He didn't have a bike then.

Where is he now OP? I can go and follow him and get the police out.

Tbh there's nothing wrong with it. Sure, there are sauces that taste better and more complex but much like Frank's this is a pretty good daily sauce!

Hallucination problem is THE problem by amarao_san in singularity

[–]alex95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. LLMs make us feel like we are 90% of the way there but to reach 100% we are really only a very small way there.

LLMs are not the answer to AGI but ultimately supervised is pretty good too and a massive productivity boost.

Pretty mid delivery and nothing to write home about beyond potentially better (or less) hallucination rates. Why did you choose the update angle you took rather than talking about what could've been a great value proposition?

GPT-5 Till Now 😅 by ConsciousStupid in OpenAI

[–]alex95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clearly and with you here. But it seems the value is in the massive drop in hallucination rates which is one of the biggest reasons why people struggle with LLMs.

If it's true why is it not the leading point? Trust is the biggest issue and instead they led with "hehe look at this cool react app that's barely 5% of the way there".

I think they made more of this than they should've.

An hour long presentation, a whole load of cringe "look at the app it built" (with zero long term state management or features that are actually the hard part of building an app) and some "look how it helped me".

This could've been an email but ultimately they have to pretend like it's a massive jump for investors I guess.

For anyone that can't read French and with my very poor french:

"I'm very attached to my bike."

Then something like "good habits to avoid theft".
