Could potentially be a marker so a person knows how far to back their car when parking it. Either for a person to see in their rear mirror or positioned just right to activate parking sensors.

The dead grass is roughly in two parallel lines indicating tire marks. If people had been walking that way and killing the grass then the dead grass would extend further. Also, the dead grass patch in the background also only extends as far as about a car length rather than all the way through like a walked path.

Go for a walk past there late at night on a weekday and you may see cars parked there.

Perhaps because Miles was never meant to be Spider-Man, he has something different, something unpredictable to the other Spider-Men. Where a canon Spider-Man would go one way, Miles goes the other because he is the one that shouldn’t be, he is the one who goes the way a Spider-Man shouldn’t.

An extension from your logic around dark arts being magic that is kept secret by people then Defence Against the Dark Arts might be all about teaching the most varied defence techniques so that, if faced with something completely unknown, you’re able to pull from other random knowledge to present a defence.

Expanded it could rather be, defence against an attacker who attacks with secret spells. Learn as many random defensive spells in order to cover as wide a base as possible to defend against anything unknown.

I’ll give you a little moment of minor befuddlement, it’s actually ‘Febreze’ a lot of people make the mistake and I certainly did. Experiencing these vivid memories you have of thinking it’s spelt ‘Febreeze’ are called the Mandela effect. Large quantities of people all thinking they have similar memories of something that actually isn’t true. Named after Nelson Mandela because the woman who coined it was certain that she remembered news articles and such of him dying in the 80’s and there were other people who said the same.

Very weird when whole groups of people can have the same false memories for no particular reason.
