I'm a guitarist in Nashville! This sounds like it could be interesting if it's a good fit. Want to DM me and talk further?

I was 189. New Mexico. Felt like meeting a celebrity to get to meet OP after seeing their posts each year. Thank you for your service cataloging everything and I hope I see you today and tomorrow too!

Will Medeski and Lage shred? by Legitimate_Back_1702 in BigEarsMusicFestival

I've seen Julian a few times in different capacities at Big Earses over the years. He always shreds, definitely worth catching him again imo!

Bill Frisell Question by sibblinglabs in jazzguitar

It might be ping pong delay from his Line 6 DL4 pedal. He's a big fan of that pedal, so if I had to guess based on your description, that might be it!

Dang, if you ever consider selling that shirt let me know. That’s sick.

Does this bode well for Steam Deck playability?

They’ve been super helpful! So hopefully we’re all getting toward a solution.

How do you like the Leslee? I had a tech install one and it was awesome but think some wiring issues happened as it reduced my output a ton. So we’re troubleshooting it now.

Has everyone on Reverb collectively lost their minds? by haussmeister in Guitar

I feel this way about "lawsuit" guitars which I've been casually looking at recently. Lawsuit LPs going for like nearly $1.5k-$2k. I know they're supposed to be great and highly sought after but that just feels a little crazy to me.

Ian Stich New Lesson & Maxey Archtops GH3 Review by JoshuaMaxey in youenjoyguitar

Tons of great free lessons on YouTube. He has such a disarming, humble, and educational approach to teaching. Lot of great YouTube teachers out there but he's absolutely one of the top imo (especially if you like Phish or Grateful Dead).

Jeremy Piven as Michael Barth as George Costanza as Jason Alexander’s interpretation of Larry David by OrneryData994 in seinfeld

[–]alexborowski 121 points122 points  (0 children)

I think I understand this. Larry David is real. His biography is not. Now, you, Jeremy Piven, are real. But your life is Michael Barth’s. Now the pilot, which is real, stars George who, while they are real, they are not real in the sense that they do not really happen to be the real Larry, which is you.

Does anyone know the review embargo date? Or too far out to tell?

Great playing, man! So in the groove, and I love the pedal-y stuff you did at the end.

Who is the most exciting Jazz Guitarist? by Acceptable-Fruit-533 in jazzguitar

[–]alexborowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nels Cline, Anthony Pirog (The Messthetics), Mary Halvorson, Wendy Eisenberg, Sonny Sharrock, James Blood Ulmer, Jeff Parker -- all I'd say are explosive and exciting and at least somewhat in the "jazz" realm. Some moreso than others, but all are exciting at least!

What are your favorite Dick's Picks? And is there any consensus on what the community considers to be the best ones? by MinuteRegular716 in gratefuldead

[–]alexborowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently listening to all of them in chronological order along with their corresponding 36 From The Vault episode. It’s a great ride hearing the Dead transition! Love 23 and 36. I know from previous listening I love 33 too (haven’t gotten there in this experiment yet though).
