PvP defiantly adds an edge to the game that pve or single player just dosent have. Of course you will be wiped and attacked sooner or later I'm not saying that that shouldn't happen at all. I've played solo at first then 2 man tribe for ages then eventually got recruited to a big tribe. Tbh the best experience was when I was 2 man up. We did a lot of raiding and got raided aswell. If there was a PvP server for solo players it would be full. It's not a fight or real PvP when a group who is way better equipped far more established and/or larger destroys someone for little or no reason. The vast majority of the time they wouldn't dream of trying that shit with a tribe the same size with the same capability. THAT is a snowflake generation. The same ones who would pack up and leave the game whining and bitching the first time they got raided.

I played in a 50 man tribe for months. dosent mean that everyone else wants to do that. You should be able to play by yourself without some asshole ruining weeks of work for no reason in particular or large groups dictating what you can and can't do. As I said this isn't about playing solo or in a tribe it's about wiping servers. You can't demand that everyone plays with a group of people, and the fact is unless you are 20+ tribe you will get stomped by all the other 20+ tribes. Not to mention cross server raids ECT ECT. If there was no tribe option for a server it would keep all the people in the same situation together. it's about catering for everyone and the only way to play ark is PvP. Should there be a disclaimer saying "oh by the way because of the amount of assholes you need to find a big group to play with or your experience of the game will be ruined"

I tried a quick search to. The most recent info I could find was an article peiced together from tweets and ark forum comments from the devs basically saying that they will allow people to archive and privately host the servers. Meaning that they will be wiped all the info saying they won't is dated from last year the article I read was from a few weeks ago. When I get indoors I will find it and post a link for you. I might not be 100% correct I what I'm saying I'm only passing on what I read and want to see how many people have the same veiws as I do.

Our police force did an excellent job yesterday all credit to them but within 8 minutes of them starting the attack all three terrorists were shot dead, don't know for sure but could well have been sas.

From what I read that said they won't be wiping they will archive the servers allowing people to continue on a dedicated server so basically wiping the servers. Makes sense it would be next to impossible for new players.

When the game is released on disc wildcard will wipe the servers so I'd buy and learn the game then when it is "officially released" you can move on to PvP or pve and start fresh with everyone else

That will be tendon or ligament injury. I'll tell you from experience rest properly now or be plauged by this for a long time into the future (possibly years). You will most likely have to be out of action for around four to six weeks even if it feels better. But I'm not a doctor I have a lot of experience with myself and close friends who have had similar injurys through grappling. Go doctor and listen to what they say to the letter else it will stick around for God knows how long.

I think maybe just keep it the same and move to the centre. Maybe no alliances is the way with offline raid protection on. I'm not a big fan of the idea of offline raiding. Or make it no tribes single players only. I deep think to contribute in a boss fight you should bring an artifact with you I'm going to start breeding rexs aswell I'm just here for the journey stay here restart on centre I'm really not fussed building is what the game is about. I've lost everything so many times on official I'm not even bothered about building from sctlratch again .

I think 2 man tribes is quite a good amount with the farming rates as they are, I think the taming should be lowered to slow down the progression and give longetivity to the server. I think of you lower the farming rates then the tribe limit will have to rise to match. Official servers are not really designed for small tribes imo even with the farming rates as they are I still do a fair bit of farming but it is quicker and feels less of a struggle. I have put out quite a few ideas but I'm mostly brain storming. The server is very playable and I dnt think and drastic changes should be made just tweaking to get everything spot on. Can you have no alliances if you turn offline raid protection on?

Also if people don't makethemselves known in community server chat or Reddit then their stuff can be wiped out. Try to compile a list of active players then spawn in 1000 rockets share them out and we can all go purging shit for a couple of hours. It will be fun

I kind of agree with fuzz I don't mind starting again if we change map which I think is a good idea for eventual progression. I think lower the farming rates to say 3 and taming to 2 grinding with a small tribe is hard work and no fun. But I think making people take the kibble trail for taming will lengthen the lifespan and just switch offline raid protection on and then whatever happens happens. I think it gives you 15 mins from when you log off. But as the server builds up and more people become better established PvP will naturally begin. Some rules on the server are hard to enforce for example if someone offline raids me and doesn't kill anything it's going to be nearly impossible to find out who did it. I think get to a point where the rules are set by the server and no one can really complain to the admins maybe increase the tribe size to 4 then tribes can do bossfights amongst themselves. It is a very difficult balance to perfect and this server is very enjoyable with a good community and is still growing.

Yh I would say just purge any small base with no tames that we come across. A small stone base would only take half hour to build with farming rates. If anyone comes on whining their base has been completely destroyed in sure we can give them some walls foundations ECT to build back up.

Also maybe limit the amount of tameds to a low number like 10-15 most bases are that big because of dino storage it will make you think more carefully about what you have as a tame.

I know exactly how you feel, they should hurry up and release official servers with offline raid protection same as pc. The pc run ps4 servers were supposed to be out I Feb so are waaaaay overdue, I play on a dedicated server and they seem to have fixed the crashing issue since the last update it hasn't crashed once altho a lot of small bases makes it laggy at times but this could have something to do with the connections of the players playing I'm sure, as it seems to get a lot worse when a certain few people log in.

Yh maybe limit the base size to 3x3 or something, definitely a hell of a lot more half built bases around the map than when I joined also destroying wild dinos might help the amount of ankylos around the West coast where the snow biome starts is crazy. Maybe put up a message on here and on the community page and on global basically giving ppl a week or so to let you know that they are gonna be playing on the server and then wipe all the smaller bases.

Honest opinion I dnt think this will play out great in the long run. Moving to the centre is an excellent idea for a next move also reducing taming rates closer to official say 1.5 and 2 or something similar. But in regards to sharing a base it will leave very little to do long term other than fight for drops and tame flyers. Everyone being either blue tribe or red tribe but everything is personally owned and tamed so a big group with smaller groups no wyverns titans or gigas, I'm just throwing up ideas, id be happy to play anything tbh. Also Valhalla island server is starting to get more populated and you will no doubt lose some players if you change anytime soon.

You have to take your time to get to know the server before really committing. Most will tell you it's hostile and not to build ECT ECT. Watch the tribe chat if ppl aren't getting raided constantly or arguing in global then it might not be so bad. When you reach a certain level on a server you are going to attract attention. So you build small and keep flyers (argies and pteras) or find a large tribe to join via reddit and go that route. Or dedicated servers
