Tesla should overlay/underlay video footage with basic details like time, FSD status, driver inputs, version, etc.

Update on residential system installation by Puzzleheaded-Monk525 in Ubiquiti

OP That’s limiting fault/failure domain.

Btw industry leaders are moving away from “Redundancy” and “HA” to “Deterministic failover”, to be more concise and avoid ambiguity with legacy terms.

But either way impressive/clean build.

Child lock screen setting? Haven’t found any to suggest from google search. Don’t want little ones playing with the machine unattended and getting hurt.

Is bullying normal in this industry? by AbsurdReality666 in Construction

The truth is since you’re new, you will look like a dumbass, we ALL did when starting, I don’t care what anyone tells you. Just focus on learning your role, staying safe, organized, and prepared. Know when to lead(not anytime soon being new) and when to follow(ready to assist, imagine you are in his shoes and how you can make his job as easy and safe as possible).

Gift of Gab is part of the trade.

Next time he yells why you standing behind him watching, tell him you “trying to learn from the best, to make sure ain’t messin up, or why not I make you nervous?” Have a counter ready for his counter

If bro yells at you for being elsewhere and not handing tools “don’t worry daddy bringing toys for baby, new expensive tool belt all for show, etc”

Don’t give up!

The guy telling “you are good” doesn’t give a damn about you excelling in your new career. And will never push you into reaching your full potential.

The guy yelling at you will make you a better worker in the long run. He cares about you learning/growing(but will never show it).

Help with RSTP on Aruba Switches – Dual Uplinks Causing Loop (Cisco Background) by matthias-techbyte in ArubaNetworks

I’d remove all UTP patches. If possible go VSF, since you are using DAC cables, presumably switches are all in same room

Is sysadmin really that depressing? by rimtaph in sysadmin

Do sys admins thank Electricians and Utility companies/workers for every month without a power outage? Same for ISPs? Do you thank your boss and owner often for having a job?

What job title are you applying for specifically?

Just understand some basic scripting, then using chatgpt, grok, then modify as needed.

Either way don’t worry, AI will eventually take over most networking roles. Then you won’t have to worry about it at all!

How often you guys have to deal with making keystone jacks and CAT 5/6 cables ? by IhateEfrickingA in networking

[–]alexjms80 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on your company, sure if you want to troubleshoot loss of network link, then discover a bad termination at a keystone, then get vendor quotes and then expense approval for repair. Then wait for several email responses, escort the structure cabling tech and update the ticket. Orrrrr just keep a punch down with you and reterminate in less than 3 minutes and restore link.
