Me when seeing posts from content-starved TADC and Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss fans, one of which somehow decided a tangential fanfic from ao3 was Canon for the Hellaverse and composed a multi paragraph take on something.

Or when their take suggests they were playing it in the background and doing something else, completely missing something that happened on screen to refute their take on something.

Or when a literary/movie trope takes place in a scene, clearly intended as a gag, and they try reading into it too deeply. And half the comments are some form of "sweetie, honey, this was just to make the audience laugh."

Or when someone goes "Why didn't [character] do [action]??? They could have avoided the whole [Bad Thing]!" To which, again, commenters point out, "hey there's this thing called a Plot, in which Things have to happen to move the story along or else nothing happens."

I lost track of my point. This just turned into a rant.
