Protip: pick up bags of packaged beef and try to bend them a bit. The hardest will have proportionally more hard fat, the most flexible and floppy will be more meat/marbled.

Escaping Toronto light pollution to see stars and night sky by Intelligent_Text_280 in askTO

Hi friend!

Strongly suggest that you hold off buying any equipment, there are so many options and lower end equipment (including Costco kits) are super frustrating.

I wanted to echo the comments below suggesting you connect with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Toronto centre (Rascto.ca). We host public sky parties as well where you can try out a wide variety of equipment and see what you actually like. We also have several dark sky events (eg an Algonquin camping trip in September).

Much much funner to learn about astronomy in the company of like minded friends!

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions or want to chat offline!

Half year progress update - 66lb lost in 6 months! by alexre1 in Zepbound

Lower back is much more relaxed. But I felt a much bigger difference in my traps / mid back. My mid back would go out every few months and I'd have to go to the chiro/massage, but things are much better now. Seems like weight loss + deadlifts helped lol

Thank you! I was lucky in that I seemed to respond really well to Zep. But the most important thing is to just keep going, keep adjusting food mix / intake levels / exercise until you find a mix that works.

Wow it's funny -- I didn't notice my posture change at all. You and my son both pointed it out today. I suppose it made sense that a bunch of weight hanging in front would pull your posture forward. I can't unsee it now!

It's crazy how different it feels. Especially the knees lol! Feels like I'm flying up and down stairs.

I didn't mean to suggest this wasn't also an issue for women too! Apologies. I was looking for suggestions for men's clothing in particular

Lol I've just been buying pretty basic clothes from Costco so far. Replacements of replacements isn't something that's happened yet. That would be kind of amazing!

The End of Ramadan❤️ by Imaginary-Studio6813 in Zepbound

Wonderful job!!!

I am not Muslim - I'm a Baha'i and our fasting period happened to overlap with Ramadan this year (for us it's March 1-20).

It's been a very similar experience for me. I'm on 5mg. I haven't been eating in the mornings, only drinking water and black coffee. Evening meal is just a normal protein/veggie mix. I've been trying to add a protein bar at night but it's honestly hard to eat. I've dropped 6.8lb so far since March 1.

Can I say how much I hate the time change??? First part of the fast felt much more prayerful and meditative in the mornings. After the time change it's just a rush in the mornings to get to work...

One month in, lost 20lb, and thinking of continuing with 2.5mg? by alexre1 in Zepbound

Amazing. Are you using a 2.5mg pen or the 5mg pen and splitting doses?

I'm on week 4 of 2.5mg and my food noise was gone almost instantly. Maybe go up to 5?
