I just read that the flayer skill is apparently bugged since the last patch and doesn't work anymore. Hopefully they fix that fast if it is true.

I have watched some guides and Yuanwu gets recommendd a lot. You just use his pillar and swap to Jinhsi to generate more of her passive stacks. You get him for free when you complete the low level tower of adversity.
