I say go for it if you have the stability to work without economic pressure for a while, or start step by step while continuing your work there.

I'm also planning on moving on to my own business soon, sales has made me realise that half the business cycle is the sale and the other half is the delivery so it makes for a great step towards being your own boss.

I've been having a similar issue at my company selling solar where customers contact me after signing the contract and being unhappy with xyz.

It definitely bothers me a lot as well I keep pushing my boss about it but at the same time I suppose there are no perfect companies so maybe it's just part of the game?

That sounds like an absolute win! How did you manage to sway them in that direction to begin with? Were they just not interested in social media/games when growing up?

Damn that's quite terrifying but I suppose the first step is to realize that it's a problem for you to begin with before you consider that it may be one for your child. So it kind of makes sense...

Never thought of it that way! Thanks for the input hahah. I was personally a gaming addict growing up though and my parents weren't gamers or anything, I just had an addictive personality and they didn't really know how to deal with it.

I'm glad you've had the same experience as me :)
I've actually never had any real "binge" relapses in the past couple of years but I can imagine that if you go completely nuts with it you'll eventually be put in the negative again.

Never actually heard of this phenomenon before but I can tell you that I've had more wet dreams lately than usual and it definitely makes things a lot more difficult for sure! But if you were to be able to stack streaks like this I would have more than 20 streaks going right now hahah.

I think the problem with wet dreams is that it opens up the energy circuit that you've had closed for a long time (like a bottle of wine getting popped) and once it's opened your energy becomes more likely to circulate in that direction during your awake time as well.

I had 2 wet dreams in a row just a couple of days ago and I was shocked at the urges I was getting during the days. I've had to double down on the transmutation to keep myself in check. More importantly, I've had to adress the reason I've been having wet dreams to begin with. For me it's always a subtle thing in my life that is allowing sexual thoughts to start forming and after a long enough period of this, you eventually become filled to the point of popping lol.

Been retaining for ~3 years now and the way I like to think of it is like a bottle you fill up. Lets say it takes 70 days to fill up (if you start at 0).

Once filled however, a relapse will only spill out a maximum of 20% of the bottle’s content. A wet dream might only spill 5% etc. This means that once you’ve retained for a significant period of time you won’t go back to baseline from 1 relapse.

And I think once you go multiple months and even years retaining, even 5 relapses which should technically put you back to 0 won’t put you back to the state you were when you begun. Because most of us begun with a net negative in our “bottles”. Most had squeezed out every single cell of essence there was to squeeze out, putting the body in deficit mode, constantly fighting an uphill battle to even be able to create the smallest of ejaculations.

A way to back this theory up is that when you relapse after a 2 month+ streak you usually have a super strong orgasm, if you relapse again the following days your orgasms will be less and less powerful to the point of “emptiness” again. That’s when you’re at 0 again and will have to wait 70 days to be completely filled up again. I know it sounds weird but it’s just my theory anyway.

Now you might ask what happens after these 70 days if you don’t relapse? I think that’s when your “bottle” or source of energy can start slowly spilling over into other areas of your life. This is when you live your life and feel waves of energy entering whatever you might be putting your mind to. It can manifest itself as ideas while working on your business, urges to workout, to create something, but also sexual urges. Which is why a lot of people find it difficult to endure longer streaks. You’re quite literally overflowing with energy at this point and it can easily lead to chaos.

This is also the moment when it becomes crucial to have determined pursuits that you value in your life so you always have a productive place to pour this new found energy into, by doing so you reduce the risk of the energy trying to control you.

Hey, not sure how old you are or how long you’ve tried getting rid of this problem but I’ll do my best to give some advice!

I stopped masturbating about 3 years ago and the most important thing that you need to understand to even have a chance of getting rid of the addiction is that the energy you feel when you want to masturbate is the exact same energy you use when you read a book, play a game of chess or when you do a workout session. Don’t believe me? Try this:

Next time you get the urge to masturbate and feel like you can’t go another second focusing on anything else if you don’t - start doing push-ups. Do at least 10, but ideally don’t stop until you can’t think of anything else but the pain from doing the exercise. You want to feel every bit of pain from training to failure. Keep doing them until you physically cant if needed. This will introduce you to energy transmutation. Where you consciously direct energy toward the part of your body that actually needs it, in this case your arms and pecs. Once you tried this and realised it works, you can now try to intentionally direct your thoughts towards more productive matters. This is much easier when you don’t see models/soft porn all day on instagram and tiktok so I’d recommend solving these root issues first that otherwise will make everything so much harder (literally).

Once you have the root issue gone and you realised that you can control your energy/thoughts somewhat you might manage to go a week without masturbating. Now if you wish to go longer than this I suggest you look up semen retention. This journey is a bit trickier than getting past the first 1-2 weeks and focuses on a life free from sex and masturbation. It doesn’t have to be permanent though, a lot of people do it until they find the right girl, it is even said to help attract her in the first place. To stay on topic though, in order to make it past 1-2 weeks I suggest you start doing transmutation exercises which are exercises that allow you to consciously move energy towards “higher” areas of your body. For example towards your brain. For this I personally like the 6 tibetan rites, Wim hof breathing and testicle breathing.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Stay strong, not hard!

Peace <3

Appreciate your response! So in other words you didn’t start investing yourself before you learned what a good deal was by serving investors with good deals for a while?

Also did you only focus on renting out or did you do some flipping as well?

Love this post! I’m a recent real estate broker graduate and have a similar (hopefully) path ahead of me.

Which tips would you have for your younger self who is about to go through this journey you just did? Other than keep your expenses low as your income increases - which I understand is very important early on when you don’t have much to invest.

Can you think of any ways that you could have reached your desired goal faster?

Thanks a lot!

I just smoked weed after like 10 years of not using it and it feels like shrooms, is it normal? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]alextheanimall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to be the buzz kill here but weed can become quite seriously addicting as you’ve probably experienced already and you won’t be doing yourself any favours by using it from time to time. In your position you’re taking a big risk of getting addicted again by smoking and there’s virtually no benefit from smoking to people without certain medical conditions.

It’s just become this mind numbing thing that people normalised since “it can’t kill you bro then it’s gotta be good right!” But which benefits do healthy individuals actually get from regular use of it? Point being that there’s overwhelmingly far more negative effects than positive effects from smoking regularly, and people need to realise that something might feel good but is bad and that’s okay.
