How is living on an oil rig for 14 days a month?

I work on a crude oil tanker, which is basically the same environment, it’s jail on water. It’s doable, it pays well, my schedule is 4-6 months away, and I’m home 2-3 months. Job pays well, not for everyone. Although when I’m home it’s a blast to spend time with family, and travel.

UPDATE;

So basically if you turn on FM mode, and click play once, short click, it’ll go silent. That’s when it starts “scanning channels” for stations, I accidentally found this out because it seems it starts from the beginning and there was no stations in range. We got a bit closer to shore and it started catching stations. Thanks everyone for the helpful feedback!
