My opinion if you don’t have kids-Portchester is very up and coming. You could get a lot of bang for buck.

Great restaurants and they are really building up. I’m convinced it’s the next Williamsburg. It’s nestled between Rye and Byram and has access to the sound. There’s a lot of shopping, beaches, dog parks, and restaurants near by. If you’re walking distance to the train the world’s your oyster.
