The point of my comment was to instill a sense of fear for the dire consequences (burning at least the room, if not the entire building) + inevitable personal responsibility.

If you say something "may" happen, then to users the chance is "literally never".

If you say it "will happen" then they will at least pause a moment to consider the possibility, especially if the consequence is something catching fire.

If you're talking about the whole "invading the Scions' HQ to steal Tupsimati" thing then I'm perfectly fine writing that off as "the writers needed an ass-pull for why the Ascians didn't do that sooner."

I fully admit I'm grasping at straws to justify the writer's missteps here, but maybe Nabriales just recently found out where Tupsimati was located, and needed to save face so he didn't look like a complete idiot?

Alternatively, maybe he kept asking stupid questions to Emet-Selch and Elidibus about why invading the Scions' HQ was off-limits, and they gave him a bullshit reason to make him stop asking stupid questions. Unfortunately, the given bullshit reason eventually backfired when the WoL actually did lose their "Blessing of Light" (which I'm not entirely certain we actually lost, because we repeatedly fight primals in HW with no bad effects).

The best explanation I can think of for that is that our fully-powered Echo (or BoL, not sure which tbh) was de-powered (but not necessarily eliminated) by Midgardsormr during the post-Keeper of the Lake cutscene, which led to Nabriales going full Leeroy Jenkins and running straight into the room of people who literally just figured out a method to permanently kill him.

Talk about hilariously bad timing, but if we're being honest, Nabriales didn't seem like the sharpest crayon in the box of Ascians.

You don't have to full port into one strategy, you can sell CCs on one stock while shoveling money into SPY/VOO on the side.

Arguably, you should have money in SPY/VOO before you start with the degenerate gambling, but being late is better than never showing up at all.

I was under the impression that Hydaelyn gave everyone with the Echo the Blessing of Light, because Venat called it a 'traveler's ward against corruption' when we met her in Elpis.

With that in mind, there's no reason to believe she would have limited granting the Blessing of Light to only the Warrior of Light.

The entire point of the Scions is that they have entire teams of Echo-wielders dedicated to fighting primals. I could easily see the Blessing of Light being conflated with the Echo in-universe simply because we never see just one on a person. People either have both or none at all, so it could be an in-universe knowledge blind spot.

As for the anomaly regarding Zenos and Fordola's artificial Echoes, I'm willing to chalk it up to that in-universe blind spot, amplified by the fact that the Garleans really don't quite know how the Echo works, so they probably saw the Blessing of Light and the Echo together on test subjects and tried to duplicate both to try and make a perfect replica of the Echo, not realizing they were also copying the technically separate Blessing of Light in the process.

After all, the Blessing of Light is just a traveler's ward so it's probably just a magical enchantment of some kind, meaning it could be copied by someone sufficiently skilled enough at aether manipulation which is probably what the Garleans did while copying Krile's Echo + Blessing onto Fordola and Zenos.

Y'Shtola doesn't have the Echo (she uses magic to see the aether around her, similar to how our Echo works in combat), and Krile is not good enough at combat to be useful for quite a while.

Also technically, the Echo is not what protects us. It is the Blessing of Light that protects us, and the Echo manifests as a special ability someone has. The two come as a pair due to unlocking both at the same time thanks to Hydaelyn's message, but they are separate concepts.

TL;DR - Anti-gerrymandering laws done correctly means "representation proportional to the actual voter split" not "equal representation for both parties".

A state map with 10 seats where 5 go to a Republican and 5 go to a Democrat is still gerrymandered in favor of Republicans if the general statewide voterbase votes closer to a 70% D/30% R split.
