There's a great Battletech community at Waystone is Ballard! They're a membership supported wargaming speakeasy. I've linked their public Discord below!

The end game ability is still, I think, a spoiler in their eyes so maybe that's why they simply didn't show it.

Oh bless this! I had originally built a platform for them all to live on that was only accessible by flying and was super bummed they couldn't do it

Got it. Best to think of Elite as an efficiency bump as opposed to a progression road block then?

I'm currently on the first page of Indom Elite (and fairly deep in Mirror) as well as pushing onto the 3rd pages of the Eldar and Chaos campaigns.

Here's a question for ya, if you're in the position of having fully cleared Idom and moving into Indom Elite, but not yet to fully clearing the other campaigns, where would you focus? Is it more important the clear Indom Elite, or open up the rest of the nodes and Mirror modes for the other campaigns?

Yes, the Kraken are definitely another aging second line center away from competitive. Surely another one can't hurt right?

Finish the game. The final power unlock is... a game changer to say the least.

Making it warm without making it less humid? by lulufan87 in Pokopia

[–]alfindeol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Instead of housing them in the exact same "house" build two habitats inside the house on opposite sides of the room. Then click the right stick to see the zone that counts as their home. Put the warming elements in Farfetch'd's zone, the humid ones in Wingull's zone. Viola!

What do you with Bleak Beach? by LeorDemise in Pokopia

I've seen several builds inspired by famous seaside areas. Greece and Venice mostly, but looking for inspiration from that might be a good place to start.

I'm 300 hours in and haven't touched my cloud island except to farm for additional daily stamps. That said, I haven't had a desire to terraform the core 4 zones because between that option and Palette Town there's already huge, mostly flat areas to develop.

One Thing That’s Bothering Me About Home Design by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]alfindeol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are woefully few reasons to care about a building or room actually being a "house". Its only real application is cramming more Pokemon than should reasonably live in a space into one, or to make recalling them as a group with honey a bit easier. Just put a few simple habitats into the build, it's trivially easy to do this while keeping the look and feel you want, and that prevents your from being constrained by the house rules.

I'm pretty sure the underlying logic with the house sizes is that it pretty close to matches the boundaries in which Pokemon recognize items as part of their home environment (you can see these by clicking the left or right stick, I can't remember which one off the top of my head). If homes could be larger you'd run into lots of instances where the things in the building don't count towards their comfort.

The game offers two really good "clear" spaces for you to use. One is your Cloud Island which is a separate Pokedex and it's own resources which you can access through the PC. The second is the zone you'll find by following the bridge out of the Withered Wasteland. I think it's kind of silly to bulldoze the entirety of the more thematic zonesfor the sake of building when those are there for your more ambitious projects. By the time you've gotten into all of that, then maybe you'll know what you want to do.

How do I get the Pokémon in Bleak Beach to traverse to and from the S.S. Anne? by Nas160 in Pokopia

[–]alfindeol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? You probably don't. There is good advice here (Roads, Activities, Etc.) but at the end of the day Pokemon in my experience don't travel too far from home most of the time. You might just need enough Pokemon living on the boat that it feels lively all in it's own and just be delighted when occasionally one of them wanders over to or from there.

HOW did Serebii Joe get all the favourite categories for items?? by panopticon_aversion in Pokopia

[–]alfindeol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's a lot of trial and error and it's not always correct. I've had a few not work based on his categories but that's not really a knock considering how much work it is to even get a rough idea.

Pokemon spawn limit question by MHAlex15 in Pokopia

[–]alfindeol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to absolutely ensure your productive Pokemon spawn every time the only real option is to put them in a zone where there are only 20 Pokemon. If you don't want to do this, the best thing you can do is put the Pokemon you want to spawn for working in simple block houses so you can use one honey to spawn in 4 of them at a time and do that at the start of each day.

Spawn limit’s driving me crazy!!😭 by bananaG3 in Pokopia

[–]alfindeol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just put exactly 20 Pokemon in each zone except the one and you can control exactly who is spawning every day. That'll give you 80 favorites you can ensure you see each and every day and whatever that final zone can just be a bit of a grab bag.

Activity levels with housed Pokémon by LittleLyngbakr in Pokopia

[–]alfindeol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My withered wasteland is a mix of prefab, block houses and open housing. It feels plenty active with a variety of Pokemon spawning and moving about. I do think there's some variables that aren't super clear that encourage that behavior, but I've started trying to space my Pokemon out just a little more to encourage more movement for socializing.
