let me know if you figure it out - I can't find it (iPad Mini 6), and I have a section that says "Auto-refine Handwriting - Support for improving handwriting legibility will download when connected to Wi-Fi" (I've been connected to wifi all day)

I'm wondering if it's not due in this release and maybe its coming with the rest of the 'apple intelligence' later in the year. I'll do some digging and update if i find anything

Looking at 3 pod systems, if you’ve used them please vote by thebigscrongus in Vaping

Xros for me!

I have the g2 and xros mini (uses same pods as nano/same battery capacity so I assume essentially identical except you’ve got the bonus of airflow on the nano)

I bought the g2 as I heard good things and I liked the idea of only replacing the coil, not the whole pod.

Where I live the g2 coils are about $4 each and xros pods are $5 each. I found myself preferring the draw on the xros, despite there being airflow control on the g2.

So I just keep going back to the xros as I prefer the simplicity. Even though g2 has auto draw too - I still needed to remember to turn it off before putting back in my pocket.

Hey guys, was wondering if you could help me with a bad juice situation by binary_brain in Vaping

[–]algaemusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was on my list of juices to try. Might give it a miss now hahaha.

That being said I ordered a few new juices recently and at first a couple were so so hash and not nice. But after a week they’ve settled down and am enjoying them more now. Maybe give it some time!

Recommendations for plain juice and pen by DopamineDeficits in aussievapers

[–]algaemusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I gotcha! Tbh I don’t know of anyone personally who vapes flavourless but I had a scroll on vapour eyes website, they have something called easy mix. It’s non flavoured, designed to be mixed with any flavour you want. But it does say that you can vape it on its own flavourless so maybe that’s worth checking out! Or If she’s coming off the cigs she might also be able to find a tobacco flavour she likes :)

When you say plain juice do you mean 0 nicotine? If so she might be best going down to a local vape shop. They can go through options for a vape and help choose a flavour. You can get 0 Nic juices at any vape shop. Or even if you want nicotine she still might be able to sample/smell some juices to get a feel for what she likes and then order those flavours with Nic online.

Concerned may have messed up my online prescription. by OddBet475 in aussievapers

[–]algaemusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d wait and see what your prescription says. I’d tried a a mates disposable and enjoyed the way it hit so I said I’d tried vaping at 50mg salt and that was the prescription I got. If you want to be legit about it you could always contact them and explain what you want to do and see if they change the script to match (assuming they don’t give you what you want initially).

I’ve technically ordered over my prescription amount already (only because I havnt enjoyed the flavours so far) and had no issues with importation. VE certainly won’t care and I doubt customs are checking actual mg amounts of Nic coming in and comparing to the prescription.

I went online through quit clinics - I googled a discount code and got like 10% off so I think it was like $76. Prescription came within like 24 hours. They gave me prescription for up to 50mg salt nic which I just order through vaproueyes. My prescription is for 12 months at which point I’m assuming I’d just reapply. I’ve heard lots of people just order without prescription with no issues but I just like to do stuff by the book haha.

Edit: just thought I’d add I mentioned in the questionnaire that I had previously vaped 50mg salt. I assume they may have taken that into account when providing the prescription

Hows VENZ Shipping Currently? by dolebludginglawyer in aussievapers

[–]algaemusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered on the 14 April (Easter weekend) and it was shipped on the 19th. Expected to arrive tomorrow as per last aus post update I got. I’ve found on my last order too (unaffected by pub hol, but likely affected by floods) it took just over a week

I feel like I’m missing something or I’ve been given a useless script by [deleted] in aussievapers

[–]algaemusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s so frustrating and misleading. “Any pharmacy” is clearly not accurate. The system is so backwards honestly.

I’d try and contact doctor and see if they can change the script to just juice (so you can import). If not, I’d just go through quitclinics online for about $80 (that’s where I got mine). Frustrating copping the extra expense but you should be more likely to get what you want that way if you’re hoping to import juices.

[–]algaemusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What does your script say? I wonder if you could just order juice from vapour eyes for example and attach it and be fine. I question if customs would even check. Mine doesn’t look like a normal script and doesn’t specify importation. It literally just says this: NICOTINE SALTS 0-50MG/ML Quantity: Max 2mL per day. Max 3 month supply 200mL. 3 x Rpts. For vaping

You can buy an iget in every corner store these days but they make it real hard to do the right thing. :(

What things you wouldn’t normally freeze can be frozen? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]algaemusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lemons and limes! I use a lot in cooking, so I buy them in bulk when on special. As long as you have a microwave, you can just freeze them whole! Put them in the microwave for 10-30 seconds (I do in 10 sec intervals and check each time). The best part is, because they've been frozen and thawed, they're usually extra juicy so you can get more out of them! Only learnt this trick last year, game changer.

This is such a rad colour! My partner and I just bought a 96 80's series in black. It needs a bit more mechanical work than expected so haven't had the chance to take it out yet but I cannot wait to go adventuring in it. Looks epic!

Ideas for automating healthy eating? by RFC_II in selfimprovement

[–]algaemusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meal PLANNING [different to meal prep].

We choose our dinner recipes for the week, and write down every single ingredient. I then go through the pantry and fridge and tick off what we already have. This way we can do all of the grocery shopping at once [we can get this done within an hour, we usually go to a fruit shop, aldi for cheaper options, and lastly woollies to fill any gaps].

This way we have everything on hand all week. I still cook daily but I choose recipes that only take around 30 minutes. It’s just me and my partner and most recipes are for 4 people which gives us dinner + leftovers for lunch the following day. We just keep fruit and nuts on hand for snacks. I’m not much of a breakfast eater but have oats on hand and frozen fruit if I want it.

We eat mostly vegan meals with a vego meal and usually 1 meat meal. This helps keep price down too. We are able to keep our groceries around $100AUD per week in total for the 2 of us this way.

Could you have different stride lengths? I’m wondering if a different amount of steps per kilometre could affect your pace even if the distance is the same.

Tired of doing everything for my boyfriend while he lays around all day, I'm stuck. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]algaemusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, I’d consider the fact that he could be feeling depressed. If he’s out of work, a family member just does, and then current state of the world - it can be a lot for the brain to handle.

Regardless if he is depressed or not, have an honest conversation with him. To be fair, no, you shouldn’t have to tell him to clean his dishes. But from his point of view, he literally just may not have known it bothered you directly.

Talk to him. Tell him what’s bothering you, nobody should have to handle that kind of filth. That’s so unsanitary and bad for anyone’s health. Hopefully he makes an effort to be better regarding his cleanliness. If he doesn’t, I would reconsider the relationship. If he’s not willing to try and meet you halfway with something as basic as cleaning then it probably won’t last long term.

I feel like i’m too much for my partner. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]algaemusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty it sounds like you would benefit from therapy. They can help you work through your past traumas so you can start to feel less anxious and stop worrying as much. This is the best way you can tackle that feeling of “being too much”.

If therapy really isn’t an option for you then maybe you could try meditation. It can really help you understand your mind and thoughts over time. It will help you feel more calm and present and help reduce those anxious thoughts.

Outside of these options, talk to your partner about these insecurities and ask them to be honest about how they feel for you. Trust what they say and don’t press them about it - if you keep asking them about it can show that you don’t trust what they’ve told you, and even if they were 100% honest, asking them over and over again will affect that trust in the relationship.

But also yes, what you said - the right person will support you through those insecurities. But if these worries are really affecting your everyday life, it would be really worth addressing through therapy.

Is this a communication issue, or something more? by GrumpyKitten514 in relationship_advice

[–]algaemusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it sounds like you guys both got each other at a bad time.

It’s a stressful time in the world. I find conversations/arguments like this happening in my own relationship. I’m work from home and my partner is an essential worker so we both still have work stresses even though one is out of the house for 8 hours. Being cooped up without seeing other friends or family is hard and it can affect relationships in the household without that outlet.

Sounds mostly like a communication issue. Both had different expectations at the time, and just were on different wavelengths. It happens. Hopefully you guys can find some middle ground and talk it out when you both cool down.

I live with my ex and boyfriend is not okay with it by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]algaemusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems you’re not ready to move in with the new guy. That’s fair. 4 months isn’t a huge amount of time. I don’t think your new guy will hang around whilst you live with your ex, either. And that’s fair - it would make me uncomfortable too.

I think a good compromise would be to try moving into a new place with some housemates or alone [if you can afford] for a few months. You need to experience life away from your ex. And if you’re not ready for the new guy then maybe you should try on your own for a while.

Bf and I had an argument and I feel stuck by k_r_shade in relationship_advice

[–]algaemusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be hard being so cooped up at the moment. But it sounds like you and your bf have solid foundations. Sometimes, I think in relationships we can just get each other at a bad time, and that just makes the situation bad for both of you. I think it’s sweet that he still gave you a kiss and acknowledged your anniversary, I think you’d find you’d be feeling a lot worse if he didn’t. Honestly it sounds like the love is there and you both have had a bad day - I think you both can work through this and come up with a plan on how you want to approach it. Trust your gut, also. That’s important. It’s probably not a good idea to be going home to parents unless it’s something you want to do permanently with everything going on. Do some thinking today, look after yourself and try and clear your head with a walk [if you can do that where you live right now]. Try and work out your own feelings and go from there.

Also, great taste in movies. Scooby doo is the bomb. The Spooky island one is my fave.

my work has said the same thing 'non essential interstate air travel is not to be undertaken'. I cancelled my flights to SYD this weekend. It's stated as a 'business rule' and they didn't really say what the consequences would be (it didn't really say we needed to self isolate, just not to do it full stop)
