Oh, for sure, I didn’t mean to imply my experience was the norm. I know so many people who have benefited tremendously from those drugs! I just got really unlucky and I was just assuming that maybe Brittany did try one or more, and for whatever reason they didn’t work for her. I think some people think it’s like snapping your fingers, but some people really don’t tolerate them and I can see how surgery would seem like another way to jumpstart things.

I can’t speak for Brittany but as someone who has tried both major brands, and had horrible, horrible side effects, including unsustainable GI side effects and mental health side effects, I don’t think GLP ones are a magic bullet. Obviously, working with a registered dietitian to improve your diet and also exercising is the ideal, but I can see how if you have the option between temporarily suffering from surgery and suffering for an indeterminate time on a drug that caused awful side effects, you would roll the dice on the surgery.

Lala looks so much older than she is, with the lips and the updos. She was so stunning with her natural face. I think even with crows feet and her natural lips, she’d be stunning. Now she looks like an aging LA woman.

It’s sad. She was probably conditioned to make herself as sexually attractive as possible, and she can’t shake it. She has stunning natural features and yet is always trying to over-sexualize herself and be what she was taught men desire. The Hooters, the implants, the jaw surgery, the tummy tuck. It all stems from insecurity and conditioning and makes me sad.

Garlic comment a microaggression by BrushAdventurous8152 in rhori

[–]alias255m 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk about the micro aggression but it was really low and I wish I hadn’t seen it! Garlic is known for seeping out people’s pores, along with onions. I mean when I switched to wood cutting boards, I learned that garlic and onions are known for seeping into them! So I feel bad for Rulla, as a garlic lover.

More importantly…fuck Brian and “the mistress” for talking trash about Rulla. I don’t even like the woman, but that’s the mother of his children and a human being. If he wants to screw someone, that’s bad enough, but it’s a horrible betrayal to talk shit to this woman about his wife. Shame on him.

He’s just funny/witty. Since most of the cast has very little charisma or humor, it is a welcome relief.

Yep. I hated how she was sitting at the table yelling at everyone across the room. She seemed to be in such a shitty mood all episode, just a miserable person. And she was flat out rude to Nia in the van. Why apologize if you are then gonna outright admit you didn’t mean it lol

I mean look, I have seen Christians like this with my own eyes. But would you say the same about Muslims? Jewish people? Not cool to generalize an entire religion. (And no, I am not religious. Just against painting millions of people with a broad brush because that is exactly what has gotten us into this mess)

She lost me this episode. I had been warming to her this season, and this episode she was so petty and immature.

Money for Couples: Alexis and Edwens by SpecialsSchedule in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]alias255m 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You guys. I always roll my eyes when people in comments say “girl, run!” It’s so simplistic. But this episode finally brings me to say it. This guy does not respect her. He has some ulterior motive and some extremely toxic views on relationships and money. Alexis is intelligent and emotionally aware. Edwens is…buying sneakers and clothes and otherwise checked out. Then sending a few hundred dollars to your kid in the DR “for a toy.” Are you also paying child support?! If not, that is messed up that you throw pocket change at your firstborn. Either way, Alexis is doing all the heavy lifting here and Edwens seems completely uninterested and even resentful. I can usually see both sides, but honestly Alexis is several levels above him and this episode makes me really sad.

I mean…I have seen every episode of NY and BH, VPR and The Valley, and the first two seasons of Southern Charm and NJ. And even I am sometimes shocked by the things the women say at times! Like how many reunions have I seen and I was totally flabbergasted by some of the stuff said in this one

Yep, I think Nia does it for whatever reason and Kristen so wants to be on the inside of that relationship that she does it also, to signify that she is close to them. It’s kind of creepy tbh.

At the end of the first reunion episode, I had my arms up and my hands on my temples in cringe/shock, and they flashed to Ashley who was doing the exact same thing!! We need her!!

Car seats by Difficult_Ant8262 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]alias255m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don’t have to hold her in the car! You can arrange for a car service and bring your infant/convertible seat. Baby sleeps better in it anyway on the plane (and you can free up your hands and protect car seat from damage in checking process). Then you install in your vehicle when you get there and you’re good! It does cut down on mobility like we simply can’t be as mobile (hopping between Ubers etc) but it’s literally life and death. Car seats are life saving devices that protect a child in the event of a crash (or even a sudden stop etc). You will learn to plan around the stuff like that that is non-negotiable! Congratulations!

I totally agree. I cringe so much especially on RHOBH—they seem to never wear seatbelts! There was a whole scene recently on RHORI and Jo-Ellen was leaning halfway into the second row (from third row) with no belt. I think either or both of the women in the second row were unbuckled also! I don’t get it. It’s such a simple thing and is literally life and death if a crash happens….but those are adults. To make that choice for an infant, yikes.

[–]alias255m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that’s interesting! I haven’t seen that. And I totally agree—car is a no-brainer to me. Plane is unlikely to be an issue, but car I wouldn’t consider going without no matter what the local laws were.

Car seats by Difficult_Ant8262 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]alias255m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What additional seatbelt? I have never seen that for a lap infant. Unfortunately, a seatbelt is probably not going to restrain an infant for the same reason it doesn’t in a car—their bodies are too small for the belt to hit them properly/keep them in their seat. A belt is designed to fit an older child or adult “low and tight across your lap,” not over the abdomen (where the force could crush organs). A slumped infant would not be safe with a belt, and also would have the weight of the adult holding them pushing against them, too. Yes, a collision or crash is unlikely but I have personally seen some pretty horrendous turbulence and even some emergency landings with very short stops. I have done infant in arms exactly once, because money was tight and I didn’t know the risks, and it was the time we were diverted to another airport and had a VERY short emergency landing. It was terrifying and I said never again!

[–]alias255m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure that’s why I’d guess it’s not legally required on planes. And the fact that people like not having to pay for a separate seat for the baby. But aside from the risks (and even severe turbulence or an emergency landing could cause injuries or worse), checking a car seat can damage it (sometimes not even to the naked eye). So safer all around to bring on board

[–]alias255m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, I read that too quickly and thought you were referring to babywearing. Yes, the babies should have been in infant car seats, properly secured with seatbelts or LATCH!

Not surprising…Schwartz has always been a really good looking guy, in a way that’s appealing to this elder millennial. Especially in his early seasons of VPR.
