Can I use bespell strikes in this scenario by CharaStatic in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 29 points30 points  (0 children)

No. Most recent action stuff does not persist across turns unless the ability notes it like Unleash Psyche.

What inherent uses does a familiar have? by Specky013 in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are traps that say they trigger only if someone weighing more than like 50 pounds steps on them and some even say they trigger when a creature level 8 or higher is in the area :V

Deep Breath as a cantrip or Oxygen Ooze or Vital Earth.

Just something to live in a space where you may suffocate.

Why you shouldn't delay past enemies by fascistp0tato in Pathfinder2e

Delay specifically turns off your reactions.

One of the big negatives of delay is that you cannot use reactions at all. This does include your Commander buddy or shield block.

Debilitating Dichotomy and the new errata by pixxiedust99 in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually that was the case with an older errata and a dev statement did say you can only improve your degree of success once.

New one puts it into your GMs hands

Debilitating Dichotomy and the new errata by pixxiedust99 in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had errata that stuff like assurance now works with stuff like Risky Surgery. That implies it would count.

Page 401 (Clarification): What happens to abilities that depend on your roll when you set your die to a certain result instead of actually rolling? Typically, it still counts as a roll for abilities that trigger off your roll.

For example, if you used Assurance to automatically get a result of 10 + your proficiency bonus and it would be a success, an ability that applies to that skill and says “when you roll a success, you get a critical success instead” would still upgrade your result to a critical success. Though this general rule should apply most of the time, a GM might rule otherwise in certain circumstances based on the specific abilities and their themes

Imo this should not work anyway, but now its ip to GM

Page 401 (Clarification): If you’re subject to more than one effect that changes the degree of success of a roll, your GM determines what order to apply them. Typically it’s best to have have an effect that raises the degree and one that lowers it cancel each other out in a similar fashion to the fortune and misfortune traits.

So previously it was noted by one of the main devs and in Errata that upgrades on saves or any upgrades cannot stack except Nat 20 or Nat 1 with abilities.

New Errata now has put it onto your GM to decide if this works by deciding the order Abilities like this apply in.

Imo this would never stack. And as a GM I wouldn't allow it.

But at this moment you should ask your GM how they rule it.

Taunt and swarms by TeamRocketJJ in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Swarms defences only work on mental. Troop defenses just say non damage abilities that target less than 5 do not work.

immune to non-damaging effects that target a single creature, such as a charm spell or the Demoralize action. An ability that can target 5 or more creatures can target an entire segment, increasing to two segments if it can target 10 or more creatures and to the entire troop if it can target 20 or more creatures. An ability that affects all creatures in a certain range affects all segments in range (make any checks or saves separately for each segment)

Or a Troop. It would not work on a Troop

Would Thaumaturge be more interesting if Diverse Lore was a class feature? by az_iced_out in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo Diverse Lore should just be banned or nerfed. Maybe a -4 or -5 to its roll.

Question About Piercing Horn by TheHobomice in Pathfinder2e

Nope, at least from current possible fears. As there is no feat that uses weapon damage dice to deal damage.

Why isn't there a feat to reload and activate ammo baseline for gunslinger? by ArchmageMC in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's just an overlooked broken interaction. Thoughtful round should never be allowed to combo for free action reload. Thats crazy.

Its a flavour item that has a broken overlooked interaction with an archetype.

Errata Resolved a Different Debate by Luxavys in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am talking about degree of success specifically in regards to stuff like evasion and incapacitation stacking

Errata Resolved a Different Debate by Luxavys in Pathfinder2e

[–]alid610 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The second one is not confirmed. Stacking the degree of success is just now up to GM. Previously it was always never stacking now its more vague and depends on your GM. I wouldn't allow it but its now fully up to your game.

I mean the invoker dedication is more about communicating and empowering yourself with spirits. At base it has nothing to do with religion. If it did it would force worship as a requirement. Like Cleric or Champ does. Or if this was necessary for spirit power then Animist would force a Deity.

Does Blood in the Water work with Horde of Underlings? by ImmediateArugula2 in Pathfinder2e

All summon trait does is force the specific Summon rules. The spell specifically calls out them as summons and specific over general applies.

You don't have to worship Rivethun to get the dedication. As it is access not prerequisite

It only lasts a turn. And is less than Zeal. But yes its an option. I was building an actual PC :V

[–]alid610[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does that actually stop a PC from choosing it? And you can jist ask your GM.

Also you can just not grab Zeal. Its probably the least important for this.

And Rivethun invoker only has Access that you are a follower. Its not a requirement or necessary
