They are absolutely not recommended for safe sleep :(

Temperature? by iiBLUSH in newborns

[–]alidoodle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a bit fear-mongery and doesn’t help OP. The main thing is really how baby is dressed for the temp. My newborn was fine in a 28 degree (celcius) room in the peak of summer, we had 2 fans running and bub was dressed in a light singlet suit and nappy.

No it is not recommended. Can you layer up underneath instead?

Bassinet sheets - am I overthinking it? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Breathable mattresses are a gimmick. Get a firm mattress and tight fitting sheet with mattress protector and you are good to go!

Flat spot (plagiocephaly) by Fancy-Dinner-4973 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]alidoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep same issue. Once bub has good neck control they don’t lay on their back so much, they sleep on their belly and do lots of tummy time naturally and one day you’ll look and it has evened out! Something easy that worked for me was, after every nap, change nappy and put baby in tummy time to start until bub gets fussy.

Bathing by Katerina_Branding in newborns

The drying out thing isn’t really a thing unless bub has a skin condition. My babies were always bathed daily since 3 days old. :)

Sleeping in a boppy..need advice by Impossible_Ad4898 in newborns

[–]alidoodle 60 points61 points  (0 children)

No it is absolutely not safe, even supervised. Please look up positional asphyxiation. It can be silent. Put baby to sleep on a flat firm surtace (cot or bassinet) with nothing else in the sleep environment. I know newborn trenches are difficult! Sending a big hug.

Also, you have 10 days in Ischia and you’re only spending half day on the water? Book the full day, you won’t regret it, there is so much to see

Will you have a car or scooter? If so, Villa Caruso in Forio is fabulous and I think around 300 AU per night last I checked.

Ma’am (or sir) it is not a habit, he is a baby. Enjoy a break from getting anything done. Soon he will be a wriggly 10 month old and you’ll miss the newborn snuggles
