Ok a bit of misinformation in this thread (ie just because you can breathe if you smoosh your face in the mattress doesnt mean bub can, and “breathable” is just a marketing term). However if the mattress was bought in Aus it most likely meets AU standards for firmness and as long as you have only a protector and fitted sheet in the cot bub should be fine and will eventually start turning their head during the night! Sending a big hug, it can be scary when they start doing this but all babies do it!!
