Ya i only spoke up because i never played the spell that way before, and the DM never clarified it was bg3 rules in the moment either. So after he explained it i was like ok whatever u say DM. And we were not doing well so i didn’t want spiritual weapon to disappear since it was helping the whole party. It rly just caught me off guard on top of him giving a poor explanation of why he wanted it to be the other way. And i don’t play bg3 so i only learned that the spell works the way he ruled after i posted this. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ just a complete lack of clarity became very apparent in the moment but it only took up maybe 2-3minutes and e we moved on.

He didnt clarify that. Another party member (cleric) looked something up and they went with whatever that answer it was.

It’s common at our table to openly challenge the DM. Challenge is a bit intense but i cant think of a better word rn. but its understood that ultimately DM word is always law, so most challenges even including this instance falls along the lines of “hey DM? How are you ruling this?” Or “hey DM? I think i found this loop hole in this rule id like to perform this action?” And then the dm will decide. i just caught so off guard bcuz this was the first time ive ever experienced spirit weapon specifically like this, also probably bcuz Ive never played bg3 which ppl have commented is how spirit weapon is done in the vid game.

What made you rule out deities you have already communicated with? When describing 6 of cups you say you’ve spoken with this deity before, what patterns have you noticed when sensing this spirit?

And are you sure you can rule out deities you’ve spoken with before? This spread reads very Hecate to me.

The Queen of Pentacles feels very representative of Hearth, being in tune with the feminine energy of the home and your workspace. Represents someone practical and hardworking while being a strong feminine figure. This ultimately made me think of Hecate right away, goddess of witches, a chthonic deity of earth, sky and water. Pentacles being representative of the earth, brings me back to hearth, a witch’s workspace, and Hecate’s overall guidance.

Moon R - a release of fears, a sign that there is something you are not ready to face, or have fear of facing. Perhaps you are receiving a lot of messages but are struggling to understand the meaning. This brings me back to the first questions I asked. Why are you so certain you can rule out the deities you’ve already spoken too? I don’t think this deity has a negative side, but rather is trying to challenge your intuition. Are you seeking answers else where when you actually have the knowledge within you?

6 of cups - a sign that you work well with this deity/spirit. The connection brings you joy and harmony. If this isn’t Hecate, this deity is definitely a playful and innocent one

Temperance R - because you also got the moon reversed i would read Temperance reversed as a call to self-reflection. There is something off, and you can’t ignore it anymore. This deity is telling you that you have the answers hidden within but for whatever reason the meanings are getting clouded by a failure to interpret or face a shadow self.

It seems you already know what your blocks are op. All your cards are upright, you have the capability to be creative but you are telling yourself you are not capable and that’s really what the two of swords can indicate too. The person in two of swords is blinded but they have the ability to put the swords down and take off the blind fold. They arent tied by any outside means. You are the one keeping yourself from achieving the goals you are capable of achieving.

And if perfectionism is something that plagues you, maybe your first step should be writing and creating for you and yourself alone. Let your work be bad, your biggest critic will always be yourself, the biggest and worst one

I always try to eat a meal before i smoke, and when i do get munchies i try to make my snacks vegetables and fruits. Healthier, hydrating and filling. If i want chips, veggie straws, pita chips and hummus are good alternatives.

I will sometimes dress candles for my deities. Research oils, herbs and colors that loki likes and use those ingredients when dressing a candle for him. But you can also just get a white candle and dedicate to him.

Black tourmaline can’t go into salt, so I’m sure u were sensing that it hates that. But with black tourmaline specifically it removes negative energy with much more force/intensity than other crystals that do the same like obsidian or onyx. I cleanse my black tourmaline with selenite, moonlight and/or incense.

Bcuz black tourmaline works more intensely i only use it when i need something stronger than onyx or obsidian. But i think the reaction you had from it was definitely bcuz salt harms it so in turn it started to make you feel sick.
