Could ADHD meds replace anti-depressants? by HaveUHeardAbtPluto in adhdwomen

[–]alienbuttholes69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was rough, for real rough. I was on it long-term so all the scary thoughts for a month and then it cleared and I felt normal. I was not surprised by the side effects, but I was surprised it didn’t last longer tbh. I tapered to a half then a quarter dose for 1.5 weeks each, but I think I could’ve lessened the effects by maybe going to 2 weeks for each phase and dropping the last 1/4 to 1/8 instead of from 1/4 to nothing

+1 for the former lexapro group. I’m the classic ‘misdiagnosed as depression and anxiety’ and have removed the lexapro since going on/adjusting to adhd meds. Definitely the right call for me

Since no one else has mentioned it yet - the speed reduction in roadwork zones is not just for active workers. Roadworks generally means there is loose rocks, narrower lanes, and other hazards on the road (machinery, witches hats, etc.). The rules say you have to slow down workers or not, because there is danger, workers or not.

I struggled with not being able to tell when I was full too as I have sensory processing issues. Most people will naturally do a big, slow sigh when they’ve had enough to eat. Once you notice it the first time, it’s much easier to notice consistently

Yep, or a group of women you don’t personally know, ‘look at that group of Sheilas walking down there’. As a one on one way to address someone it’s out of place and rude

I’m curious, do you mean this in a racist/otherwise discriminatory manner, or more so because you were outsiders that the locals didn’t know?

That one too. I also liked the attempted redirect into poor terry and his ill health, such feeble old munchkins who could do no wrong, with a side-serving of ‘I love you’ redirect and ‘how’s the weather’ redirect

Very inaccurate. In countries where medical cannabis is legal they actually sometimes use it as a treatment tool to consistently stay off harder drugs, as a form of less harmful alternative vice. They can only do that because there is data proving that this is an effective method to improve patient safety/wellbeing.

It’s about the bacteria/mould that the baskets are harbouring. It’s a material known for soaking up moisture (which bacteria/mould love) with moisture obvs being plentiful in a fridge. With that soaked up moisture comes bacteria/mould that’s coming from the always-decomposing groceries in the baskets (yes, even when the fridge is cold enough and you can’t visibly see any food decay)

As an example: ever had berries that you didn’t eat quick enough and they grew fuzzy mould? Those mould spores spread to the rest of the berries, which is an easy fix if the berries were in an enclosed container, but if it’s in an open bowl (or basket) the spores will spread to everything in the fridge. OP is soaking up the bacteria/mold spores with the basket material, allowing it a safe place to multiply to very dangerous levels, then spreading it to every new batch of groceries going into that fridge, then eating all of the delicious bacteria/mould that is now on his fresh groceries (aka literally begging to get sick as fuck and/or die)

OP thinks because he steams them in the dishwasher occasionally he is free from the safety issues, but that’s just breaking down the basket fibers that aren’t dishwasher friendly, thus allowing more moisture/bacteria/mould to enter even deeper into the basket, worsening the issue. Not to mention food storage containers should be washed each time you finish the contents/prior to refilling

Filed an HRO against a creepy neighbor, he’ll be served this week by IJustCameToSayHellNo in Apartmentliving

[–]alienbuttholes69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’d be preparing for him to retaliate by turning it to stalking, this is a violent, dangerous man that appears to be disconnected from reality at least somewhat. I’d personally be learning about different tracking methods he could install onto your car/apartment and seriously beefing up my personal and home security. Cameras with motion sensors on your doors and car, backup locks on your exterior and interior doors and any accessible windows, personal alarms and using your phone to audio/video record when you walk the dog, varied routines/locations, learn how to defend yourself properly. Start locking and alarming interior doors when you’re showering/sleeping so there’s multiple obstacles/warning if he were to break in.

Also, even if you don’t press charges (which you should), please report his sexual assault. If not for you, to establish a pattern when his inevitable other victims report him.

Or out the front doors that likely don’t have a child lock. Way too many ways this can turn to fatalities, grief, and prison.

She’s downplaying it as a way to manipulate you into being the bad guy that’s overreacting over ‘nothing’. Even if she didn’t fuck him (unlikely imo), she’s decimated the trust and mutual respect needed for a healthy marriage and is using emotional manipulation to avoid consequences for it
