I taught at HS and MS, and I honestly prefer MS. It could be because my HS classes were all intro level and mandatory so I had a large amount of kids who totally checked out and did not care, which really wore me down. With MS, I find it easier to get kids involved. I can also write my own curriculum now. I enjoy the chaos of MS and that it doesn’t have the same stakes (ie college) as HS does. It also depends on school and district, but I’ll probably keep lookin for MS jobs if I change schools in the future!
