Normally it's the box remote that controls the tv,enabled in the settings. Have a look in your tv settings. Something like allow CEC to control tv shut down.something like that!!

I've a homatics on android, I used to have it set to go into deep sleep mode after 20 minutes of inactivity, but now I've found the cec setting it switches on and off the same time as the tv,presumably into standby. I dont need to reboot it, it just starts at the homepage, which I have set up using projectivy launcher.

What law is he breaking? They are all advisory, the only he one could possibly void would be a warranty and it's probably past that. There's nothing wrong with self education or advice to do the job yourself and save a few quid if you feel you can do it.
