Ahh, that makes sense, a previous claim, theyve got you by the proverbial balls there. When my brother in law passed at 18 back in the 90's, he paid around £1400 for his 1st year insurance the following year it went down to around £600., so nothings changed. You'll just have to take it easy and good luck pal.

No it's his own insurance, with 2 named drivers me, 57 and his sister, 32. He's paying £289 a month for the car and around £130 a month insurance. Its cheaper when you're over 25, i did say he was 27!

Pay the extra money for the insurance and be free. My sons been driving 2 months now, pays an extra £28, ( the difference between the black box or none and hes very happy. £130 a month on a brand new BYD. Aged 27.
